this is the first anime i ever saw, and by far the best, here is the first episode. all you have to do is take the name of the episode from wikipidea, and type it in on myspace videos.

Gundam Wing is stupid. Need I say more?

And yes it was one of my first I saw, and it did suck on epic proportions. I'm a huge fan of mecha, and well, this isn't it.

you mean nine thousand episodes?
They really ruined the series towards the end with those gay fight scenes that take 20 episodes to finish.

When they released the sequel, GT was it? that was the signal that the series was dying (trying to go back to normal Dragonball with space and crap), because that sucked immensely.

Dragonball Z was an exellent cartoon, it always kept its story straight, and the (18 episodes max) battles kept the watcher on edge waiting to see the next part.

And Gundam Seed was the best mecha anime there is as far as I have seen. I have watched many others and they are just not as good. Unless you can give me a better one...

You really want a god Mecha anime?

Go track down 'MEGAS XLR' off YouTube and watch it..

THAT is a good cartoon.. even if it's.. long dead..

Er... Megas XLR sucked, it was made for little 12-yr. old nerdy gamer kids. It failed because it wanted to be something it wasn't.

Oh, and Gundam Seed was probably mah personal favorite, and I've seen just about every Gundam along my lifetime, within the last 4 years. Maybe not the entire series of each, but some of the best episodes of each.

Megas XLR owned, it should have been on adult swim. People who don't like Megas XLR think it's anime, it's not- rather it's a cartoon aimed mainly at teenagers and adults which is a pisstake out of anime and a load of other stuff.

The 'reason' as to why it 'failed' is because it was shown to kids who didn't understand it. Watching my first episodes made me laugh so hard for weeks.
