And again, our quick round up!
Subject description: covering... nothing! I'm just bored.
Hey again. Sorry for the lack of coverage on our hosted mods and lack of proper hosting support recently. The auto-normals voxel article is killing me. If you looked at the picture in a previous news, you may noticed that, cutting the black dots, the voxel isn't looking bad. The problem are these black dots, really. The thing is, that my formula finds two directions for each point and selects one of them in the end. If it selects the wrong one, you see the black dot. I've got some progress since that picture but the black dots are still infesting my Kirov and I still don't know how to make it select the correct direction. If I fix that, Ill have the new auto normals working and it will be much more correct than the one from 1.36.
Anyway, due to this auto normals research that needs to be finished by may 9th, I'm low on news coverage and hosting support. I'm also overloaded with several things and one of them will go public soon, but you may know what is it if you check my MSN nick...
Ok, here's the recent news:
-> Project Perfect Mod: Our C&C3 Map Archive has already 9 different maps (and two versions of the same map). My big kudos goes to BuddaBoy for submitting 5 of them and they look good, although I didn't had the oportunity to play them yet, due to the things I've mentioned above.
-> C&C3Files.com is receiving several maps as well. There is one from spyVspy that is pure pwnage. Check it out!
-> For all C&C3 casual players that wanna have some cool C&C3 online experience, we'd like to invite you to Revora Juggernaughts Clan. It's a clan composed of nice revorians, instead of arrogant n00bs that simply infest your base with scorpions. That clan has more than 15 people and there is a lot of space for growth, and also a nice looking site. Pay them a visit!
And finally, Mike Legg, president of Petroglyph Games has been interviewed at PC Gamer Podcast and he also posted his comments on C&C3 and a very interesting information for those who complain at the music of the game. Frank Klepacki was actually the first person contacted to do the music of the game. Too bad he was too busy with Petroglyph projects. See more information on the C&C3 part of this interview at our friends from CNCNZ.com (the Z is pronounced as 'Zed'). That's all for today, folks! I disagree with you, PaD. The game is all about action. It's suposed to be Fast, Fluid and Fun. But the music doesn't give that feeling. It's more like a background, it's too passive for the spirit of the game. But the main menu theme is fine. QUICK_EDIT
