Hello
I would like to setup a map the will split us off blocked in to our side for like 20 min
Then release us to fight it out

Im thinking something with waypoints
Set up a line that nothing will cross (like some plains won’t go into the dark)

Is this even possible ?
Would be a good way to stop rushers

Yeah, you're not very wise on making maps then. I'm not suprised, with such closed-minded thinking. Go make another Harrier or ORCA we won't ever use.

To do such, you'd need to make a map with a modded building that could serve as a barrier and would be invincible, but would also sell itself after so long. That should give you the desired effect.

guess I could give them air defences
but people would try massing to get past

I was looking for something like the old firestorm defence from TS

You could do the Firestorm Generator as well, but it wouldn't be infinite, and you'd have to setup some form of power for it. Stopping the air would probably be the hardest part. Perhaps using unpassable tilling would be the best option.

I'd suggest FireStorm defence, but since this is RA2.. that's not possible w/o RP..

If you don't know, then why the hell do you even think to post in here? You should only involve yourself in what you actually know about.

Hmm...I was thinking elsewise about the impassable tile from StarCraft. Maybe, using a building that has a weapon that hits air in a .5 range and is invunderable would stop air and land. That might work.

make an imortal building like the guy says and make a trigger. make it so air craft cant be made until a period of time like after you build the battle lab you can now make Kirovs, helicopters, etc. that way rushing with air cant be done.



or make it so it has air defense like shoots and invisible laser real fast and destroys in one shot and has veryhigh ROF and make it so it dosent take power.

What about a couple of long destroyed bridges over a canyon and the canyon filled with flak cannons / patriot missiles taking out all aircrafts (also the anti aircraft buildings are immortal)

Also they are not able to be C4'red.

There is also no way down into the canyon

When the timer runs out the bridges get bridge repair huts so they can get repaired and a trigger kills or sells all gattling cannons.

It wont stop chrono legions/commandos/ivans or chronospheres doh.

had forgoten about all that chrono CRAP

but im talking about Ra2 not Yuri'
there are no gattling cannons

I was hoping to do it with waypoints to keep the file size down
bigining to think it can't be done with waypoints

it can't be. if its just a map then make it so you have to build a lab then that way most units can not be built, for the chrono's i would recemond making it so there is alot of water in the area and make spy sat un buildable...

It's all a matter of how much you want it done, and what you're willing to do to ensure that so much could be done. Of course, you could always allow for others to attempt to pass, and just have defenses powered off-map that would wipe out any of the forces sent to it, making rushing early-game a waste of funds.

Personally, that'd be mah favorite option. :3
