So I came home from a resturant and decided I should start my long awaited weekend by finishing the Nod Campaign, I pop the disk in, press start. Screen dims, than I get an error: DirectX 9.0 or higher required, make sure you got the minimum requirements to run the game, make sure hardware acceleration is not disabled"

'That's not cool' I'm thinking, everything seems in order, nor did I change anything since last time I played the game. Anyone else having that problem?

Try open the link properties and add the command line -win to it. It will play in window mode and it might work.

Whatever it was... its fixed. I did reinstall the game, and restarted but it did work. Couple of days later I tried it without doing anything, and it worked.

Gotta be one of those wierd things that has no logical explenation...

EA Games - F3ck Everything Up.

-_-

Must be some problem with the game's internal coding..

Kyler, you idiot, its called a I/O Read error.

Its where when he installed it the first time, it had a error while reading the file that wasn't working, when he reinstalled it, it read correctly.

Either that or some program was causing interference, like Process Explorer, etc. can do.

Yea, if it gives a code error, post it here...I might be able to identify what it is.
