I thought it would be simple
but this is not working

are walls just not able to use weapons ?

No... just no... Building themselfs CANNOT have weapons - only infantry and voxels...

Buildings CAN have weapons. Such buildings are typically called base defenses.

As for your issue, I would check to make sure the target is in range.
If that is not the problem, it might have to do with other tags put on the building. Could you post full code?

CARUS02A is not a wall, rather a building.

Yes, walls cannot have weapons

However, the building in discussion does not convert to overlay, and is just a normal building.

lots of replies so fast
anyway that was the full code I used

I was using a wall (not built by normall players)
because in the editor you can copy and paste a bunch of walls but you can't do that with buildings
would make fore easer map making
but I have made it with buildings now and is working fine

Ps
I found that wall in the editors overlay section

O and this is Ra2 im fidling with
keep forgetting to say that

yea thats not a actual overlay type wall then.

its a building that looks like wall #Tongue. yea you can add weapons to it, just add the necessary tags that base defenses have to function.

and while at it
this just fires at people not computer players

sounds like an AI issue. because its Neutral probably. or something. are you testing on a skirmish map as a neutrally owned?

in ra2 non yuris revenge it is impossible (in my understanding) to have civilian units attack computers. so thats why the paris tower is the way it is.

WAIT!

Wave you tested the "state-tag"? Where you set like "move" or "guard" or "agresive"? I have seen it on tanks, perhaps it is there on buildings as well?

Walls can't have weapons because all walls are overlays.
(They converted from buildings after buildup)
