I've found out that there were some buildings and units that were unused in the final version of the game, but their art files were left inside the BIG files of the demo.

Here they are!:
- Control Point for a King of the Hill MP Mode
- Capture Flag for a Capture the Flag MP Mode
- Tech Propaganda tower, a building that boosts nearby troops and weakens nearby enemy troops.
- Tech Satellite Launch Facility, used to send satellites in space to reveal the map, hack the enemy's radar and use some special abilities.
- Training Station. I have no idea what this is. Looks like some sort of Barracks.
- Alien Blood skin (Blue blood? Protoss, anyone?)
- Abandoned GDI Kane Edition infantry skins.

Not completely accurate... see attachments.

The tech propaganda tower is the expansion point neutral building if I'm not mistaken (?)

They are actually workable! How did you do that? Very Happy

And yes, it looks like the "Propaganda Tower" was reused as the Tech Expansion Point.

I made a tool that does a conversion (with a bit of work) called w3dm2ase - it's on the Derelict Studios C&C3 editing forum. (source included but bear in mind that jonwil discovered some new information which would allow us to make a 'better' tool for this sort of stuff... it's just no one has got around to it yet)

The capture flag and such are probably for the special Xbox 360 only game modes.

ase can be converted to 3ds right? and this tool will put them and hopefully ren and gens into ase?

ase is essentially an ascii version of 3ds... 3dsmax should be able to open it fine, as will the ase plugin for blender with a slight tweak.

Well, the "sat.jpg" was used as that I believe, until it was changed to satelitte launch facility and then finally removed altogether from the game.

Although the "tech_prop_tower.jpg" looks like it could've once been that, but now it's a Tech Expansion Point.

The tech prop tower is indeed an ingame used building. It's used on at least one GDI campaign maps and is also listed in the manual as a neutral tech building.

Afaik there are not Kane Edition Skins, but intended for the GDI Infantry Armor Upgrade (not sure about the name).

I haven't checked the models yet, but I think it is what they used to do concepts for TT. A training station is where you could train your troops to veteran, much like the armory in TS.

The training stations are used in CNC3 Xbox360 version. Theres 16 of them. Click on one and it displays the training.
