Can you make it so that it has YR's advanced capabillities and options with that of the logic of TS, like lighting, scale, terrain and logic like ice, silo/storage, destructable and deformable terrain and power on off abilities.

Also im interested in reprogramming the engine and im learning c atm, where would be a goot place to get information on programming TS's and RA2 YR's engines.

@Sarpedon - YR has far better logic capabilities that those in TS like workable rotors etc, but many things that made TS good wern't transfered over to the RA2 engine.

Um, the source code was never released. You can't access the assembled exes in C, thusly. So instead RP and ETS have been done in assembly code, which if you look for old posts of Pd's you can learn more about... although there is a very good reason only like two or three people ever worked on it.

Without the source code, there is no way to dissassemble the game in order to directly program new stuff in. Basically.

That would be GREAT,so is medicine for cancer, no CO2 and TFD 1.03patch. Non of them is comming anytime soon, maby never Sad

But if you know someone that knows a guy that knows someone that knows a guy, who happen to have a YR or TS source laying around, it wil not happen. BTW, I saw a source of win2000 so there are someone on the inside...

Well im sure there is a small chance that source code floating around. And if we have no luck there then im sure theres people who know the right things in order to extract them from the exe. This is way beyond my capabilities so i will require alot of time to research it. And if all else fails, who is up for learning binary which ill be studying in a semesters time.

Good luck learning C, it takes a bit to learn. VK does his coding in ASM, but I wouldn't recommend trying to learn that...its extra difficult. But if your gonna learn binary, well its about the same difficulty, if not easier.
Still haven't found source code that someone will give me, I'll let you know if I find some. If you can put TS functions into YR, it will be as revolutionary as RP.

Well i have no choice but to learn C because I am being taught in in my studies. And were also being taught the different number systems like binary, hexi, octal and also ways to convert between them, though these are the easy parts. Also i made a mistake in my last post, we go onto assembler next semester not binary, because binary is just a number system. Assembler is what both RP and ETS are coded in i believe. And if you ever do i would appreciate it very much.

Amazing, just when I thought the few of us who know asm were goin extinct, here comes Dregan on the full turnaround... Laughing
Good luck, Asm is the hardest code I know of...that's actually useful....
Anyways, you'll be the first to know if I find source code, I think I may have found somebody, but don't get your hopes up....
