Rain by defalt looks very bad affecting most of the terrain
is there a way of nomalising it?

the only way i found to add it is by first loading a map with good rain effects on it AKA the germany maps, then go to file > new and the effects will remain on the new map for some reason.

Agreed, however in my experience this doesn't give rain falling effects, just none-shiny ground and lightning flashes/noise ingame. Anyone actually got falling rain effecting ingame?

Need the SDK for that. So we can read and properly use the map settings for weather effects.
