Well this is most reliable forum i know for getting anwsers so i thought id put a post here. I resently purchesed a new computer to run C&C 3 however i had to buy the operating system sepratly. For some reason all my games (counter strike source and C&C 3 are main ones) crash with in 2 miniutes and the whole computer freezes. I belive its to do with my graphics card or its driver but i can't figure out why. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8500 card and i installed correct driver and they are both compatible with windows XP. If anyone on here is good with this sort of stuff and has a possible solution id be glad to hear it.

have you installed the latest drivers for the graphic card?
the 8k series have a known problem with many softwares and games. I'd suggest to go here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_158.22.html and download the latest driver if you haven't done so yet.

P.S.
Make sure you got SP2 and the latest WinXP updates too.

Ive now tried a ton of things including that, my dad even got a friend who knows a lot about computers to come around and have a look and he fixed it, well for about an hour then it messed up again. So I have sent it back and asked maker to take a look and test it if they can't fix it ill just get a refund on computer and buy a different one.
