I wish I could say I did this model, but it ain't true.

A guy named Rougeii from China did it, said it was only the second model he's ever done before. He did it based on the sketches of the concept mammoth.

He gave me the max file so I could convert it to Generals and eventually CnC3 for my personal use. Whether or not he'll let me post it publically I don't know yet.

BIG JOB. It's only 55000+ polys. lol

After cutting it down to under 700-800 polys, it probably won't look any better than the one already in CnC3. (which I think looks very cool anyway)

Anyway, wanted to show you the model, it's very well done. While the sketch I've included doesn't show fins on the barrel, other sketches of the turret do.

Cheers,

Rebelmoon

A little texture will do even better. The model is excellent!

Well, the ingame mammoth doesn't. This is from the concept sketch. There is another sketch that focuses on the turret in detail, which includes all the upgrades that could be done to it like the Overlord in Generals. One was the missile pods, they would pop out from the sides as an upgrade option. It looks like it's standard now from purchase, the railgun being the only upgrade now.

its the same as the old MMK I. they're probably not barrels, but rails to support them, especially when the cannons are smashed backwards due to recoil.

Ha-ha-ha!
It's not barrels! Look at model from RA1, TD, Renegade - may be it have 4 barrels to?

On sketches from TW Mammoth have only 2 barrels!

No, they are there as backups, incase the main barrels don't work! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Actually though, I think the support poles idea is best...

I like that sketchup model. It just needs to be longer, a little too square, but still well done.

Cheers,
