Howdy everyone! I've been busy in these days... you know, when a period in the university is almost over, people get overloaded with work and tests. And that's my case, of course. But I have a good news. I've really made the Voxel Section Editor III AutoNormals into a short paper to SIBGRAPI. The article was sent yesterday (thanks to a delay in the deadline) and it should be reviewed in the next weeks. Anyway, I won't disclose the article now... I'll wait till the event happens, unless it's rejected. Once released, those who can read this news will be able to read the article, since I wrote it in english. I'd like to thanks IVI and Stingerr, since their voxels (one of each) end up in the article as well as WeeRaby's MadDog Mech. I plan to release VXLSE III 1.37 soon, so those who review the article will be able to check the source code of the new auto normals, if they are interested.

Anyway, here's a very quick news round up:

-> TibEd 1.64 goes beta. This beta version improves the compatibility of the tool with Tiberian Dawn. Here's a quick changelog:

- update C&C'95 editor in a major way (thanks to Nyerguds, I got started on a major rewrite of this editor). Changes will break existing saves for C&C'95.
- fix launching of C&C'95 and RA1 of The First Decade from inside TibEd ("Please insert original disc" error)

-> The release of FNT Editor 1.0 has motivated members to post their new fonts. This topic on our forums has some cool new fonts and, we also ask you to share your new fonts as well. Take a look at this one from Tyler Adams (tested with Mental Omega):

Er...the font is full of win, but not quite from Mental Omega. I see Army, UK Forces, and Brutal AI, leading me to think such. This goes back to thinking this is a private mod done by Tyler Adams himself.

And, good to hear about the bug fixing / AutoNormals paper. I hope it doesn't get rejected. #Tongue

I've just been emailed today about it and my article was accepted, with a little help of luck. From the 3 reviewers who read the article, 2 of them thought it was ok and one disliked. Most of complaints were straight to my lovely english, which I already expected, dispite the inumerous revisions I've done so far... few things still has escaped my eyes, I guess.

No, not MO, just a personal .csf edit. Complete coincidence I got MO army names, I don't think I've EVER played MO. Kinda surprised to see MY name on the frontpage, tho..
