There's no C&C3 model section yet, so here will have to do for now.

Orca MK3 (was just a test on getting models ingame).

Shotgun Tank (needs skinning)

Tiger I

I've got a few other skins for it.
One is GDI gold, one is grey and one is green with some camo. I've got some other stuff to work on at the moment but I'll get screens of them up soonish.

Quite likely when they're done as I'm not really using them for anything. The Tiger is going to be used as a basis for a tutorial too.

Haven't done a projectile yet. The idea is that it will end up with a shotgun buckshot effect if I work out how to make one. It's also upgradable to use FRAG12 rounds, which are fin stabilised high explosive rounds fireable from a shotgun (there's an awesome video on youtube).

I've got some tutorials to write as alot of people are asking questions and noone seems to be answering them, so for now my own messing around is taking a back seat.

What is with the moderators lately, this is yet another thread that is in the wrong forum because it doesn't have a COMPLETE DOWNLOADABLE MODEL.

New skin sets for Tiger, and I've made the tracks a bit thinner as they were actually cutting through the chassis...

Absolutely love the retro-tastic Orca, although the turbo-fans do look a little on the big side.

It is so nice to see some new community models being shown ingame with the SDK's release.

I've had it ingame for a while now while testing other units (like the Tiger for example) and I was starting to think that myself.
When you're zoomed out it's really exaggerated, it just looks like two flying turbofans.

The original is a unit I always liked the look of so I might have to make one properly when i've finished with the stuff I'm doing at the moment.

These are really good mate, maybe you should start up a ww2 mod or something. Or was that your intention Laughing

It's one of the six models I had to do for my university assignment, it's a bit low poly for C&C3 really (circa 2000, the Predator is about 4000) #Tongue

I do have a mod in mind that I want to make but it isn't WW2 and I need to get the next two releases of ICFRA (the next big release and another one to fix bugs that people no doubt will find) out before I can really start anything proper in C&C3.

Diffuse, specular, normal, reflection (and another one for house colour mapping).

For normal faction objects anyway.

I think specular does it to some extent.

The specular map does 3 jobs - specular mapping, housecolour mapping and "environment" mapping (for windows).

When you assign textures to the shader you have four options:
Diffuse - the normal full colour texture
Normal - a funky colour version that is used for depth (like a bump map)
House colour - a black and white version of your diffuse map, with an alpha channel to cover the areas of the unit you don't want to be house colour.
Specular - A darkened, red version of your diffuse map. The red channel of this functions as a specular map, the blue channel as house colour and the yellow channel shows areas that should be treated as windows with 50% reflection (or something like that).

But you get different options depending on what shader is assigned to the object. GDI and Nod ones are the same except for how house colour is shown, the Scrin shader has an extra slot for giving it a reflection map.
The shader you apply to treads only has two texture slots.

ok i think you meant green instead of yellow.

well this engine seems quite stupid. it doesn't have gloss and there's no color specular which means you can't do things such as gold, and they should have made specularity the same as reflectivity like in my engine. i wouldn't waste my time with this engine.

thanks for the info.

Of course you can do gold.
Make it gold coloured with the diffuse map and make it shiny with the specular map.

And yeh, I meant green not yellow.
