This will fill the role of a master mind basically. Each of the masks will be more detailed and have a unique texture to them when I'm done.
Obviously if you complain there's no walk cycle you will get your posts deleted, it'll come when I've animated it.

I also want to further detail the back but I am unsure what to detail it with, I was thinking a literal puppeteer controlling the void creature and riding it on a saddle or something.

How about having the unit controlled by strings? (That abruptly end at some point #Tongue) The Puppeteer is in the nether realms controlling this unit.

Masks are a bit flat, though...

Brilliant, i know it is not finished but the legs and spikes are not on the body: is it meant to be like that??

They're not meant to be connected, no.

Also; walking and implementation of Icy's idea.

Nice unit, looks scary. But the progress is (way)too slow IMO.

Gift me with more time and a stronger desire to spend it in 3dsMax else, it will remain slow.

This is a very interesting concept, which i like. One thing i can see is that could you make it walk more natural, like how a spider or any insect would walk. Apart from this great work.

how can it walk like that... thats physically impossible.
it must move FrontRight/RearLeft and FrontLeft/RearRight instead of the current FrontRight/RearRight and FrontLeft/RearLeft

It's physically possible since the whole thng is maintained by thread (it's a puppet). By the way I mst agree that it would look better if it moves as ChielScape said. And also make the body move when the legs move it'l make it look far more natural (the word might be well chosen when it comes to spider like puppet but you got me ...)

Just one thing, it doesn't make much sense it being called the "Puppeteer" if it, itself, is a puppet of some sort. Unless there's a deeper meaning that I've completely missed.

You could make a new unit, call it the puppeteer and it could mind control units and what not. and call this Puppet... or Duncan Razz

It's the medium for the puppeteer while also creating more 'puppets'. It's both a puppet and a puppeteer at the same time.

Also, making it walk like a spider is hard as spiders have 8 legs.

erm, no one talked about making it walking like a spider (as I think everybody know that spiders have 8 legs).

He means make it walk in a more realistic way.
Make the first leg move forward THEN the back opposite leg THEN the front oppsite to that and last the back opposite to that.
They all move in separate frames so none move at the same time.
The pattern will make an X with the top connected and bottom connected

Bu when rethingking about it it's supposed to be a puppet and not a giant insect so maybe it's better left like that (and it will involve less work Very Happy)

Indeed, plus since when are they connected? #Tongue

Also, animation. Too lazy to do it fully correct but it will look somewhat less artificial (it's a puppet, so that's probably a bad thing but... whatever).

Better, but it looks not right when it moves, try get it to move in a similar way the CABAL guardian does, only example i can think off that is rememberable....
Nice work so far, are you on your own doing this mod?
