I think the main questions to answer here are;
1. Is removing DC's mod status going to change the attitude of any future posts?
2. is removing his mod status going to have a detrimental effect on the forum, i.e. with posts in the wrong place not being moved/locked/split etc...?
I would imagine the answer to the first will be no, the second, i have no idea, it will depend on who takes his place. But really, do the attitudes of the mods in a place this big really reflect on the forum anymore than the attitude of the regular members? QUICK_EDIT
Don't know what he was banned for... And i really don't care... You get banned for a reason, and most of the time, those reasons will stick.

Topic over. Banshee's more-or-less (repeatedly) made his point clear, I don't fully agree with his decision but it's his to make. You're all fighting over petty things (let's call Prime a twat because we can and he can be his usual ego-filled bastard self, huzzah!) and getting warned/banned for it. Shut up, it's not making any of you look good, even if you brutally suck up to Banshee. Congratulations for having opinions, now have the sense to end this now.

This is no heated debate. This is people just shouting as loud as they can, with a determined impression in their head, and not actually listening to a point to which makes them think and reconsider.
You can reconsider, and go back to your original conclusion, or you can reconsider and change your mind. But no one here is actually letting that happen.
Banshee's mind is set. Its not changing, I think thats pretty clear by now. And the continued bash on his decision is only going to make him even more defensive of it. Heck, he's banned two people because he was getting more defensive. If people were not getting as agressive as they were on this situation, you'd have probably found Banshee would have passed over it.
But the problem as people are so keen to keep bringing up, is no one persons fault. This forum's condition is not any one persons fault. It is the cumulative result of every single person here. It isn't just the n00bs, its peoples attitude towards them. It isn't just the actions, but the attitudes behind them.
Everybody here is just as guilty as the other person. Even me, I am no hero or any handful of roses.
But the answer is simple. Really fecking simple. If you want to help make this community work, then stay. If you can't stand it, and it annoys you. Then leave. Many people have. No one is chaining you here. Better yet, you think you can do a better job than Banshee, make your own forum. Again, many have. Rarely do they work.
Stop shouting. Start thinking. Start listening. Else go shout to yourself in a quiet corner, because I don't want to hear it, and I doubt anyone else does either, there is no gain from it here, other than winding up your nerves and trying to push your weight around.
