First render. [1.2mb png]
Subject description: Yup, high res, too.
Well, I toyed around with the lighting for about 4 hours, and played with the textures, although texturing is proving to be hardcore bitchy.
But, it's whatever. If you'd like, you can use it as a desktop background.
It's the Veyron class assault frigate. I know, I know, the texture isn't pretty, but keep in mind this is my second model, and I've really been toying with it, as I don't yet know my way around 3ds max.

The first model had well in excess of 100 shapes... this one has I believe less than 20 (not counting the small engines)
It's a lot more professional than my previous model. My previous was just a bunch of shapes jumbled together. _________________ "Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there." -Adam Young QUICK_EDIT
a hint for the engines:
put a light source behind them, open the atmosphere & effects menu down in the light properties. add a new volume light.
adjust the Near and Far attenuation of the light source to limit the range of the light.
Then you have some nice glowing engines.
You can now also change the color and many other things of the volume light, if you select the volume light in the "atmosphere & effects" menu and click on setup.

haha, for Alpha Images in TS it's ALOT easier just to do it in photoshop. Then I have full control over every pixel. _________________ "Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there." -Adam Young QUICK_EDIT
