TSR Beta Testers

Ok here is the list of official and definite beta testers for TSR
you can be added to the list but you must be willing to actually BETA test this and not play it once and forget it Wink

(u can do that when it is fully released with all features and not bugs *hopefully*

Here is the current list:

Froggy
Tratos
Chantillas
TheDvd
hellfire
Sk8erkid

cant say exactly but Beta Testing will begin shortly (3 to 5 days) and it will likely not contain full features but will be close Wink

i always test my mod myself... in fact i spend more time playing it than actually modding it... that's also why things take so long with TSTW LOL..

but, SMIFFGIG, i'm willing to be a beta tester, some coding knowledge might help here...

btw how many MB is this beta test?

I think it is about 15 MB.

With missions enabled it is 35 MB.

What do you mean with missions enabled, Seaman? Multiplayer maps?

EDIT: Btw, I think we need to have just a few beta testers, maybe 5... Having a bunch would just complicate things.

please offer a release version without maps as well.

This is a beta test, u dont need that many new maps just to beta test, remember this will not even be the final version (due to time and due to the fact i need report backs from u beta testers)

yes i know, but when TSR 1.2 is finished, you could think about offering a v 1,2 download WITHOUT all those maps.

I was the one who converted them to make them playable in TS. It took about 28 hours in total.
Of course adding TS features to maps requires more time to complete them.

yes that is right
but they where playable in TS and thats all and also still had faults in them which is understandable as SeaMans work was simply to convert them and make them playable and presentable

thanks to FM who has worked hard also on every single map adding many many things and features making them truely TSR worthy maps

so they are no longer standard boring RA2 map conversions, but they now each contain really nice features, like fona, ion storms, ice, TSR treeset,dynamic lighting, TSR tiberium trees,the new Light Tiberium Aberous and much much more.

All this hard work has brought these maps to such a level that they are the same as and better than the TibSun official maps and certainly better, more detailed and more fun to play than there RA2 counterparts.
*and it has been hard work, this is one part of TSR that i have not been greatly involved in working on myself

these maps will also be built upon and improved to an extent (if deemed neccessary) with every future TSR release, to include features that are map specific (eg triggers, dropship loadout feature) this allows greater scope for what can be achieved with TSR and how Tiberian Sun should have been.

On a final note, there will be 5+ TSR maps shipped with TSR and not with the map addon. These maps are brand new and 100% original in everyway + they will contain TSR features and I can assure you they are good cause i have played them and they are made by FinalMoon
I need say no more. Screenshots showing 1.2 Beta in its full glory will be released soon.

ps you're right, the quality of a map makes a HUGE difference in gameplay fun... really.

Ok beta testing should commence shortly

But it involves more than just playing the game a few times

U have to thoroghly test TSR for all sorts of bugs and also post back anything to the TSR Beta testers forum, also good screenshots will be wanted of ur beta games and any cool things uve got to show (battle scenes) or watever.

If u still wanna beta test bearing all this in mind then thats great, if uve changed ur mind let me know

Ill be sending out the info and where to get the beta shortly so stat tuned Wink
