Hello everyone,

Can anyone give me a step-by-step guide to edit the existing units within the game? For example, the cost and deploy time.

Also, how to enable all the infantrys, units and buildings. And finally, correctly activating the superweapons early on within the campaigns.

Thanks in advance!

lets see...
the cost line modifies price, buildtime modifies time object takes to build, speed alters speed and so on...

Download the Mod SDK version 5 if you haven't already, then look in the XML folder once you've installed it.
Find a unit to look at (CnC3Xml/GDI/Units/GDIPredator.xml is a good example to start with) and open the .xml file with notepad or wordpad.
95% of the time you can find what you want to edit by pressing "CTRL F" to bring up the find tool and search for sensible words.

So for unit pricing cost would be a good start. Searching for "Cost" in GDIPredator.xml brings up the "BuildCost="1100"" line, if you edit the value (number after the = sign) then you can change how many credits it costs.

I'd advise reading the SDK documentation before you do anything however, you don't want to be editing the files in the CnC3Xml folder as they're the base files you'll want to start with and you want to keep them as they are.
They're read only, so when you copy to your mod folder (like I said, read the SDK) you'll need to make them not read only.

Thank you for the reply guys! Happy New Year and God Bless!

P/S BTW, what are the various "tags" within the units that are editable? Is there a "TechLevel" tag that needed to be edited to enable locked technology? Lastly, how do you change the timer for the superweapon?
