After some months sucked into the deepest helms of my university, I managed to escape and work a bit on the OS SHP Builder. The main objective of the current work in progress version (3.36) is to have all mass operations finished. I'm almost there, since 3 out 4 are done and seem to work (but requires some additional tests). The other objective is bug fix.

After stopping work on it for almost an year, I managed to compile the program on Turbo Delphi (it had some limitations and compiler fatal errors that prevented me from doing it), I've started to work on it again, dispite its horrible code. In the current beta, the program is far more useful. It fixes several rendering problems, GIF issues and one of the mass operations were recently re-enabled.

Traditionally, OS SHP Builder Beta Testing was reserved for few individuals, but it is currently available for everyone, since the latest version is always in the SVN. However, the Beta forum, which includes the full changelog is for registered users only.

Anyway, here's the beta 11 and 12 changelog (since Beta 10):



- 3.36 Beta 12
- revisions by Banshee
- Added: Edit -> Mass Operations -> Move Frames.
- Bug Fix: GIF import improved considerably, finally with a proper transparency support. Also, the GIF library was updated.
- Bug Fix: Auto Detection of transparent colour on GIF file is now done on every frame.
- Bug Fix: The program no longer allows you to copy frames to a frame > 1 from new files.
- Bug Fix: New generated SHP files won't save corrupted SHP (TS) files anymore. If you were victim of this trick, edit the very first two bytes of your SHP to 00 with a hex editor.
- Bug Fix: Preview window, cameo generator, sequence maker and others now render correctly.
- Bug Fix: Shadow frames now render correctly.
- Bug Fix: Autoshadows is no longer available on any situation.
- Bug Fix: SHPs with one frame are no longer allowed to reverse frames and move multiples frames.

- Bug Fix: You can now move from the first frame to the last one, with one spin down move.
- Bug Fix: You are now able to view and paint all pixels on any zoom level.






Anyway, if you are registered user at PPM forums, check THIS TOPIC to download it.

If you are a guest, you can still download the PPM SHP Builder 3.36 (2006's aprils fool joke) and patch it THIS FILE (which will bring you the latest version, without the trial joke).

If you already had an old 3.36 beta version, simply get THIS FILE.


And finally, do not post bug reports for it on the Bug Report forum. Instead, use the Beta Testing forum (Registered users only), with one topic per bug, because it is easier to track them that way. If you are a guest and you want to report a bug, email me it to (bansheeppm[at]hotmail[dot]com).

Sorry, but this site does not exist: /InstallPPMSHPBuilder3.36.exe

error if I click on PPM SHP Builder 3.36 (2006's aprils fool joke).
please correct it.
