Mod releases: Vietnam: Glory Obscured commands the party!
Subject description: It's time for some mod releases!
It's always nice to see people's hard work becomming reality, specially when you can play it. Recently, there was a massive amount of released mods, not just in PPM (which other sites missed), but also in other communities.
So, here's some of the released mods:
Generals: Zero Hour
-> Vietnam: Glory Obscured: One of the most awaited Zero Hour total conversions finally had a release. Vietnam: Glory Obscured brings the whole Vietnam war into your Zero Hour, making it based more on an war where infantry runs the show. The Pegasus release (1.0) only brings the USA faction. The terrain is heavly modified to fit the jungle from Vietnam and you get cash by conquering villages. The full version are hefty 140 mbs, while the lite version is 68mb, but doesn't include the new music and voices from the full version.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
-> CnC Pro 4.0 has been released. This mod tweaks the game to avoid spamming and n00b tactics, making it a lot more challenging. The game has also heavly ballanced.
-> Also, heads up for a release that I missed. Tiberian Wars Advanced 1.3, from my buddy Stygs, was released in the middle of the last month. It is a simple mod that includes new unit abilities, upgrades, bringing back some features from Tiberian Sun, while keeping the spirit of Tiberium Wars.
Red Alert 2:
-> There is a new version of Keating Konflict available. The mod will bring 9 completely new factions to fight into many different planets. At the moment, the mod has only one faction, the Remnant Allies. As far as I could look, this faction collect resources in a mix of China (supply trucks) and USA (Supply Drop Zones), with an infantry similar to the Allies from Red Alert 2 and American vehicles from Generals. This version also brings two new maps, new cameo styles and some additional features. All for stupid 4 megabytes. I guess it's worth checking.
And there must be more stuff released, but this is what I could find so far. QUICK_EDIT
