Team Black has recently recorded a video where he made a Cadillac Escalade from scratch using Voxel Section Editor III. The video takes almost 10 minutes and it's quite fast, so you may need some eagle eyes to see some of the tricks there. But it's very interesting the way he paints the details of each face of the car. For me, his only failure is using the wrong auto normals... but I still need to do some work on improving the main one as well. But, it still a great lesson. Click in the picture below to watch it and happy voxelling:

It would be good to have a version that was a little bit slower than this one, then you could atualy see some of the options that he selects in the toolbar. Non-the-less, this is very usefull, tought me a thing or two. Wink

Thanks for the news post, Bansh Smile

I sped up this vid about x6 since I didn't think anyone would want to sit more than ten or fifteen minutes watching it.
If I make another vid, I'll make it a little slower for yas

Well the normals 8.0 are good, and I know you put a lot of work into em, but I still kinda like the 7.1 a little better XD

Is it bad that I still use 4.1 then? Recent versions of the normalizer ruined the appearance of my newer voxels.

Wich AN you use is VERY personal, and some fits a voxel better than an other. exsample: A box/cube is best normalized be AN 1.1, sphere is best by AN 5.1 at high range, And AN 7.1 for a "boxy" voxel with few curves.
At least that's my opinnion. And Team Black, that movie was inspiering

*Typo? Haven't slept for 38 hourzzzzzzz*

I love you Team Black, I love you. Very handy! I'm gonna use it for making my next voxel. I think I will base it off a picture aswell. This also inspirates me to do something like this mapping-wise Wink

That was a joke right? A Mapping video would be pointless unless it's slowed down. You actually need to be able to see what the person is doing, otherwise there would honestly be no point in making it anyway. I don't think someone would sit there for the countless hours / days on end watching someone make a map. =/

Cool little program you got there. Too bad it didn't come out a year after Tiberian Sun or something. Very professional looking.

Ehmm, that's Banshee's Voxel Section Editor III, which you can get on this site, together with other modding tools, also made by Banshee Wink
EDIT: argh, fixed, thanx Banshee #Tongue

OS Voxel Editor? #Tongue

Wrong name, mate. It's Voxel Section Editor III.

And thanks, Short Bus. The voxel format took a while to be decoded and I've got some programming skills some years after Tiberian Sun's release.
