This may have been posted before but I'll take the chance that it has not but if there is something similar to this topic then I guess mine is more detailed #Tongue

From Dune's Harkonnen Devastator tank (or mech from Emperor) to CNC Tiberian Dawn's Iconic Mammoth tank, to China's Overlord tank and the Soviet Apocalypse tank.

Notice that the mammoth tank and other power house units cost somehwere between 1750 and 3000? All of them power houses of their respective factions. Now pit them together in a slug fest who will win?

GDI Mammoth tank X-88 (TD)
GDI Mammoth Mk. II (TS)
GDI Mammoth tank Mk. III (C&C3)
Harkonnen Devastator (Dune 2000)
Harkonnen Devastator (Emperor)
Guild Tank (Emperor)
Soviet Mammoth tank (Red Alert)
Soviet Apocalypse (RA2)
Allied Battlefortress (RA2YR)
Nod Avatar mech (C&C3)
Chinese Overlord (C&C Generals)
Chinese Emperor Overlord (C&C Generals Zero Hour)
Scrin Annihilator Tripod (C&C3)
Atreides Minotaurus (Emperor)
Ordo Kobra tank (Emperor)
Empire AT-AT (Star Wars: Empire at War)
Rebel T4-B Heavy tank (Star Wars: Empire at War)

Pit all of these bruisers against each other in an all out epic slug fest.

I vote the Mammoth Mk. III from C&C3. "Unstoppable!"

Nah, the mammoth MKII actually had bigger guns, it was just vulnerable to SMALL men (cyborg commando, mutant hijacker), and this is a contest between BIG tanks. the MKII has the biggest guns and is one of the heaviest armoured. In this sort of fight the further away and harder you can hit your opponent the more likely you are to be victorious, and the railguns are good for this, even if the upgraded mammoth MKIII has them too...

Also the TD mammoth tank was called the X66 Mammoth tank, not 88.

what about cost? would you get 2 apocs gainst 1 mammyII? or the allied bf's power lies in whats inside. Although with the anti tank set up, 5ggis and 1bf would cost 4000. With the bf + a chrono legionaire, that battle wold be over before it began.

All in all, the mammoth 2 is the biggest and the baddeest, it's foot is the size of a normal tank, it's bullets probably half that size too. A re-evaluation of it's price might make it cost a little bit more. Second place would go to the...what are we talking about? half those tanks are exactly the same!

The MkII would be a great long range unit. It would have the biggest dead zone then any of those tanks, plus it doesnt have turrets making it extremly vunerable against rear and side attacks. I hate to say it but the Overloard wins in my book. Due to its adaptility. You can have a bunker, gat tower or propoganda tower. A group of these mixed and its a great multiroll vehicle. Although time and cost to build are a drawback.

The Disruptor took the TD mammoth tank's role in TS -
the mammoth mkII is a separate class of unit altogether

Wait. How the hell are the Scrin PAC, GDI Juggernaut, Nod Avatar, and the Kirov Airship not heavy weight?

Dude the old C&C X66 Mammoth Tank is used in FOUR! places:

first: C&C1: GDI X66 Mammoth Tank
second: RA1: Soviet X66 MAmmoth Tank (only changes the usage of missiles alittle)
third: C&C2 TS: Can be found in the last GDI Mission and several mods enable it as buildable
fourth: C&C Renegade

oh by the way you forgot the epic units in C&C3:KW and that the Mammoth Tanks in C&C3 has the code name Mammoth27

I have not played around with the following I believe:
Ordo Kobra tank (Emperor)
Tleilaxu Leech (Emperor)
Empire AT-AT (Star Wars: Empire at War)
Rebel T4-B Heavy tank (Star Wars: Empire at War)
I also suck at unit stats for C&C3, Dune2000 and Emperor
I have no experience at all with Star Wars: Empire at War (I know what a AT-AT is Laughing

I think the following (have not played none C&C games much sorry and not played much C&C3 either):

GDI/Soviet X66 Mammoth Tank gets beaten by the Soviet Apocalypse Tank (look at the stats and weapons and you will understand directly)

Dune2000 Devastator (dont know its stats)
It also "looks" like it would beat the X66 Mammoth Tank (I love its cool looking plasma burst weapon that fires both barrels at once and makes a cool explosion sound at impact)
(It was soo cool that I have put in in my RA1 mod. I also have a super powered up version of it for my personal tiberian sun mod)
It might however get beaten by the C&C3 Mammoth27 and Soviet Apocalypse Tank (Mammoth27 may require it to get railguns Laughing )
(Its also extremly vulnerable to air units, no Anti-Air Laughing )

The Mammoth Mk.II mech (not from ingame but from the 2 FMVs(Videos):
This one beats most of them, I however dont know about the epic C&C3:KW units or the Emperor of Dune Harkoonen Devastator Mech. The only thing im sure about that beats the shit out of the Mammoth Mk.II is the Cabal Core Defender from TS:FS Laughing (It should be bigger than the C&C3:KW Avatar epic unit if you think about it)(It also should beat the Starwars AT-AT and the AT-ST from Episode2 or whatever it was called Laughing <-- the one with four legs seen in the big battle scene)
(It also gets beaten by three Banshee fighters if you go after the videos and may get beaten by a whole lot of intantry if they are not all in one place/line)

C&C GeneralsZH Chinese Overlord Tank and Emperor Tank should beat the X66 Mammoth from what I know in a 1on1 match (May require it to get upgraded shells Laughing ) They might however not beat the Soviet Apocalypse Tank, C&C3 Mammoth27

Comparing a movie unit (Mammoth Fark II) to an ingame unit (eg: Kirov) is quite unfair for the ingame unit for the fact that in the videos units can do anything.

Ingame its limited to how lazy the developers were.

I'm talking about ground based power houses nothing in the air or anything like that.

X-66 Mammoth tank, sorry about that typo.

The units on the the C&C 3 expansion pack does not count because it has not been released yet.

I meant to include all available upgrades to each unit for maximum effectiveness.

Still I vote for the Mammoth Mk. III

The Mk.II couldn't hit anything with those big rail guns because of terrain fluxes and performed poorly when attacking down or up hill.

And why are EaW units up there? anyways, TW Juggernaut. Bitch

Black, you haven't used a Mark 2 against aircraft recently have you? They blow against harpies, imagine how they'd be against the Kirov's 2000 armour.

in theory, shouldn't they all be balanced if you spend enough money the same money on all (least common denominator)?

Well as long as MK2 kept out of the way of Kirov's bombs, there's no way the kirov can do the damage..
like when you use a single Flak track to wipe out some AI- contolled Kirovs, since the AI is too dumb to realize that the Kirovs won't catch up to it

I mean that if two things cost the same they should be equal in power or abilities. if the mammy-1 cost 1750 and the apoc cost 1750, they should be equally balanced to one another. The mammy-2 cost 3000, so natutally it is superior to the 1750 mammy-1. But suppose you spent 21000 each on the two vehicles, you would get 7 mammy-2 and 12 mammy-1. Theoritically, the should be balanced and they would all die (no survivors). This does not have to be strict however, as one vehicle can specialize itself by being...lets say anti armour. The anti armour unit would defeat the jack of all trades unit, but every other non armour unit would do exceptionally well against the anti armour unit.

Mei Ling, asking if the kirov is a heavy weight is a dumb question. The kirov is obviously lighter than air Wink.

Jebus I did not mean to start World War III...

Mei Ling the Juggernaut is not really that much of a powerhouse because it's more of an artillery unit than an actual tank so thats why it is not on the list. The reason the Kobra and the Minotaraus are on there because they could take on multiple units like a powerhouse unit can. The Juggernaut is only effective against buildings mind you. To me they're not that good against tanks.

Kirovs do not count damn it because it is not a ground based powerhouse.

Don't make me use the Ion Cannon. I'll do it to.

"Shall I push the button?"
