Grand Unification Theories

String Theory, M Theory, Loop Quantum Gravity, and Moving Dimensions Theory, all these are examples of unification attempts to try to help bridge the quantum aspect with the relativistic aspect of the universe, in order to unify our understanding of nature.

Billions of dollars have been spent trying to find out 'how the universe works' at the fundamentals. Most of it being spent on string theory. The distinction between metaphysics, fancy mathematics and proper physics gets blurred in the process.

Which theories do you vouch for, and why? Do you have your own ideas about such things? Do you believe everything can be unified?

Also, I have really fucked up ideas as to how the universe works. I'd love to post em, but first I wanna see other peoples ideas.

umm, Einstein's theory of space-time and the graviton particle do it for me.

That and the AK47 theory of I'm right...

I don't pretend to understand M-theory/string theory but it seems to have a better chance at unifying all the fundamental forces better than anything else. It probably doesn't help that we don't quite get gravity yet, something that could be a slight issue.
