Away for a while...
Yesterday I was playing Frozen Throne, the human campaign.. map 2. First, Undead AI takes almost all your bases and start attacking you main base. You have almost nothing left and ally with the Nagas. With the Nagas, I took the botton of the map back to me and after repairing all buildings form my base, I start seeing something burning... but it was outside my monitor... the power supply was getting fired... and just to remind that I bought that shit last month... o my god... I turned off my pc as soon as I could. So, I can only access internet from my dads pc which limits me to not add stuff in the site and also I am also full of exams in this week.. so, it's time for a break from my computer... cya later... My old power supply (450W) still works. I found it out yesterday and my pc runs now, but it works with half of its capacity (estimated). So, I had to deactivate one CD driver and floppy disk. My dad's pc (that I'm using now) has now ADSL that is no longer in my pc. I will access internet in my pc when I set up ICS (which I'm lazy to do now). A new power supply will arrive in 8 days with on extra charge... well, at least I can play Frozen Throne now... and btw, in the map, my power supply didnt got fire ... but it still crashes my computer due to lack of power... _________________

Internet Conection Sharing. Btw, my computer is online now (yea, I'm using it to write this message) although I'm still waiting my power supply. My computer is crashing less since my friend gave me a little help ... _________________

I'm using Win98SE.
It`s not hard to make it work with DHCP, however, the DHCP settings changes sometimes.... something that I have to fix when it happens... and it's boring as hell. _________________

yea, both machines use win98se and I dont have the heck of the idea of DHCP means... all I know is that it's a dynamic HCP... which means that it changes dynamically... and you need to fix it everytime it changes. _________________

Yea... What I did was to configure the WINS server of your 'guest' machine (that doesnt have a access to internet) to use DHCP and uses an automatic IP. Then, I opened regedit, and hacked my DHCP Options in (HKLM -> System -> CurrentControlSet -> Services -> VxD -> DHCP -> DHCPInfoXX (XX can be a number of 00 to 99). I set my IPAutoConfigurationAddress to 192.168.0.1 (my host is 192.168.0.2 although people and ICS usually does the oposite) and set the DesiredIP Address with 192.168.0.1 in Hex numbers which is c0 a8 00 01 and the DHCPServer to c0 a8 00 02 (192.168.0.2).
I believe it's not the wisest way to have it working, since my network IPs will never change, but it's the easiest way for me... _________________
