PPM Hosted Mod News!
Subject description: We need some activity! Covering end of march to april 8th, 2008.
Hello everyone! It's been a while since I posted a news here. PPM lives and it will continue to be active, but at the next days I have things called tests from some evil subjects from my university. Tomorrow it is physics and friday, it will be equations (some kind of continuation from Calculus) and both are my nightmare, probably the hardest subjects from my computer science graduation course.
Another thing that distracted me recently was an expansion... released recently, but I doubt any of you know about... Kane's Wrath, right? I've finished the campaign of that game already and the missions were fine, the story was somewhat confusing, but seems to be more consistent than TW was. I still couldn't figure out how veinholes died... but neither Sam Bass, the guy who wrote the story, could figure it out either. Anyway, Joseph Kucan alone is enough reason to buy the game. He rules and acted very well in the campaign. The thing that most disappointed me is the music of the game. It just serves to stress you, except for a music that plays on stats, in the end of a skirmish game (and no, I'm not talking about Act of Instinct remix, which also sucks). I have yet to play a skirmish game, even if the new maps aren't that attractive (still looking better than TW ones) but I won't do it before this weekend.
Anyway, I might have been quiet in these days, but there are several interesting news at our hosted mods. Some really high quality material being shown up recently:
-> Derelict Soil: Droke has posted some fresh material from this TC for Yuri's Revenge. The picture below shows a sneak peak of the terrain.
Yes, it is a TC for Yuri's Revenge. Really, but the terrain looks so good that we actually have our doubts. You can find out more information about Derelict Soil at its forums.
-> TAKTICS: Arikado has recently displayed 3 infantry that will fight for the Eight Bit Nightmares side in ths TC that will bring Mario to YR. The units below are respectively the Cobrat, Clyde and Biclyde.
And there are more pictures and information about them at this topic.
-> Terror From The Deep: This is a very old news, but it's worth mentioning Donut Arnold's work on TFTD's terrain and neutral buildings posted at this topic.
-> RA2: Moscow's vengeance is an new mod that we are hosting here, for RA2. It is an alternative transition from RA1 to TD, which will actually make TD make more sense. So far, it only has voxel work like this repair tank below, but it is just a matter of time until it becomes attractive.
And that's all for now, folks. Although it is quite weird to talk about so many mods we host and none of them being a TS mod, except for Twisted Insurrection. Don't you agree? I guess it is some kind of Kane's Wrath effect... Last edited by Banshee on Thu Apr 10, 2008 1:57 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
Thanks, but coud you put the mammy or allied MBT up instead? Thanks, and yeah, big cookie for Banshee! Thanks _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
Yeah, I've just noticed that you've said "Moscow Vengeance" instead of "Moscow's vengeance". All publicity is good, as they say... _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
Yeah, good luch banshee, and if you're stuck for something to say, explain what you're talking about from the basics up, it usually gets you a few marks, most of the time because you end up explaining your point with evidence without realising it. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues.
