Subject description: build works, but no troopers

With help from a friend we managed to get the paratrooper issues resolved, now I want to make the soviets build a air force command. I have the building & planes, but I want them to build their own troopers.instead of using the allied sided ones.The button shows up but i cant drop anything. I have the following things added:




SoviParaDropInf=SOVI ;Types of infantry for the planes to drop
SoviParaDropNum=9 ;How many of each of those infantry


under buildings:

423=RAMRADR ;Soviet Air Force
424=SOVAIRC

under animation list

1121=SOVAIR_A
1122=SOVAIR_B
1123=SOVAIRBB
1124=SOVAIRMK

under super weapons:

13=SovietParaDropSpecial

under [AI] controls

BuildRadar=GAAIRC,AMRADR,RADARUNIT,RAMRADR,SOVAIRC

under special weapons type (near the bottom of rulesmd)

Hahaha. Do you ever search the forums to, I don't know, see if that's been tried before? Or, maybe, to figure out what the INI flags do instead of ass-u-ming they do what you want them to?

yes i do search the forums. i havent found anything of usefullness. if people made the post with the name insetad of help me, or game crash maybe it would be easier to find.My building works to show, but i can not drop paratroopers... off topic question.....do you have a read map of Vilinus, the capital of Lithuania. If I ever get my stuff working I'm gonna need it for a mod. where in Lithuania do you live, my grand parents were born there.

Use NPatchSE

If adding a new superweapon was so easy, every mod would have multiple paradrops by now.

without ever playing with paratroopers before, I'm just going to make an assumption and see if it works:

When you capture an airfeild as the Soviets, you get soviet paratroopers. I'm gonna assume that the airfeild has the paratrooper thing attached to it, so just copy and paste that unto you soviet airfeild to see if it works. (totally random guess, but see if it works).

This may sound ambitious, but someone needs to go through all the "HELP ME PLZ!!11!1" topics and rename them according to what they are actually talking about, thus making it easier to search for stuff (when scrolling through the indexi).

Why should we waste our time fixing the mistakes of the incompetent? I say just lock uselessly named threads on sight until the author learns to name them adequately.

If you actually google npatch se

1, You get mental omega readme

2. If you read it it has a link to NPatch SE

3. If you read help file (which comes with the mdk) it will explain how to add paradrops

4. Stop being a dumbass

There is a method for doing multiple paradrop types in RA2/YR.

However, it is limited to 2 factions maximum.

First up, Superweapon=ParadropSpecial. <------- Tech Airport Superweapon. Use that as one sides.

Second, Superweapon=AmericanParaDropSpecial. <---------- American Air Force Command Center paradrop Superweapon. Use that for the other.

NOTES:

Limited to 2 factions tops. (or any amount of countries each Side= has)
Must be modified to change amounts, cargo (soldiers), and frequency of drop.
Aircraft used for Paradrop will be the same (unless you know of a method without NPatch to separate the two)
Will disable the Tech Airport if you keep it in your mod. (well one side will)

first of all when i started this post it was in mapping discussion. is this not mapping discussion?

second when i did a google search i got the attachment

third when i search the forums for paratroopers or paradrops i get stuff that does not pertain to what i am looking for so i make a post. i know from experience that my friend does searches for his paintball business & doesn't always get the same results that i do when he asks for some help

i can capture tech airports & they do create soviet paratroopers. i was looking for something that when you build an air force command that they would build paratroopers. i got a tab on the defense section for the troopers but there is no parachute for them to deploy like you get on normal paradrop.

Lt Albrecht what are talking about??? you lost me with the flamethrower, lol

To be fair to the guy if you search "NPatchSE" you do get 5 results of rndom chinese iconography, if however you use your head and then search NPatch, guess what the 1st resulkt is, yes, the NPatch homepage.

The best way to do it the way he wants to is by using NPatch or RockPatch. And if he can't find it in the first 5 topics in google, well sorry if he has to actually look...

Secondly, this thread is made up of DCoder's sig. which I support for this, even when its in direct conflict of my teachings. I'm sorry but some people cannot be helped.

Use NPatch, documentation is included and if not, ask CNCVK. Download
