Bronze War[YR]
April, 2007.
Estonian government started final prepares to relocate the Bronze Soldier.
This leads to riots, lasting 2 nights...
Right, heres the mod story:
April riots got out of hand and police was called out to take control, but they were forced back with rocks, bottlebombs and even small firearms. 23 policemen was killed and many injured. Police then called for reinforcements, this time, it was the army. Estonian soldiers loaded their M-16s and AK-4 with rubber bullets and forced the riots down.
Russian government got out of patience and they invaded Estonia. Estonian Army and NATO quickly reacted to that. NATO sends forces to stop the invasion and Estonia rebuilds the Tallinn's Arsenal weapons factory.
I have some voxels ready and some SHPs and coding, too.
What to you think, should i continue, or bury the idea?
Oh, and I'm sorry for the bad English, if there is any. Last edited by Blueguard on Wed Apr 16, 2008 3:15 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
Ah... I just wiki'd that and I doubt the russians would invade over something from the soviet era being moved...
And NATO + Estonia VS russia? Wouldn't the UN just boycott russia until it's economy died and it was forced to withdraw? I doubt a full scale war would result from some riots and the events that happened.
And why does it have to be centred around estonia? I understand your national pride but I've seen lots of people work on mods nothing to do with their home country. if it has to be russia VS NATO + Eastern europe (which russia will loose as it doesn't have an army big or modern enough to hold of the whole of europe, the US and Canada etc, even if they do have SU37s and T90s) couldn't you just have regime change in russa to an extreme nationalist party or something? _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. ..language problems can be an issue but it is easily fixed by asking around. Maybe you can ask anyone, a friend perhaps or that is proficient in English and willing, to proofread for you. Tis a good way of going about it.
I definitely recommend checking out this topic out before falling down the same path.
At this point, this really needs more time on the stove before it can be served to the public...
Granted I am biased against another "modern warfare" mod due to the same unit lists...everyone crams into these *cough*Abrams*cough*!
Not that a mod can't be based on real-world elements or merely using RL as a base then.
trying to pull this off is going to be quite the feat..then suddenly it becomes a "Post-apocalyptic" "sci-fi" gimmick..to avoid political hurdles and heavy researching to accurately depict how this idea will flow in terms of alternate real world scenarios.etc _________________ Delirium.. When do newbs learn that starting a public mod ain't an easy job. Look at me; 3 years at PPM, and I only just started my public mod, which is on halt already because of other things...
Not to flame you (or any other person), but you should really think quiet good before starting a public mod. Start with a private mod first to gain some experience QUICK_EDIT
OK, I'll cut the work and find something better to do.
Yes! You has the right idea! Do not continue this idea, ever. Instead, sit down, take your time, and come up with something unique. Reality is overrated. We want fantasy! QUICK_EDIT
Yeah, at least you have that redguard. You didn't fail the most, someone else did. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
