The sides have their "Generals" which differ the strategies and blah blah blah etc etc explained in Generals site. USA has NATO and some others and I believe that each side has 3 Generals. Coincidence? Huh... just a thought.

which would mean splitting each side down 3 more times so we'd have a total of 9 sides. Could be done. Think you manage that tec?

It'd be easier if we could just rename the countries that are in there here's the list...

[Countries]
0=Americans ;USA Command 1
1=Alliance ;USA Command 2
2=French ;USA Command 3
3=Germans ;China Command 1
4=British ;China Command 2

5=Africans ;China Command 3
6=Arabs ;GLA Command 1
7=Confederation ;GLA Command 2
8=Russians ;GLA Command 3

With YR there's Yuri's entry on the list but it shouldn't be hard to disable it or find some way of using it. I'm sure its easy enough to just change the country names and change the flags, rather than risking renaming the list (which it does warn against in the rulesmd)

I'm not trying to get at techno's way of doing it here, i'm just offering my own opinion on what would be easier and safer to do but its up to you Tratos...

Like a 'secret' side exclusive to the mod? And renaming them sounds a lot safer, i have managed to accidentally disable all sides except america before know whilst altering them. Which was not good.

look i figured it all out....as for the extra command.....why? we only need one for each....plus it saves us making too much work and offers more explicit choise per side.... i figured out how to fix the sides.

Update - Well for me at least it doesn't work, i keep getting internal errors and it might be something to do with the warning westwood gives us in the file.......

It's much easier just to use existing ones instead of renaming, if you really can't remember which one's which then put a omment along with it.

Yeah that's what I've done, used the existing countries and edited the csf accordingly (although I've added in the Generals select feature which was taken out of Generals itself)

yeah, as it stands i've just got to disable yuri. (I'm going to do that once i move on to sorting out the AI so I can knock Yuricountry out of all the AI teamtypes and stuff so I don't kill the game by disabling it)

don't worry, i'm on about disabling the yuri country, not the side itself. I've already got Russia, Confederation and Arabs using all Yuricountry's units and structures so to disable that one country won't be a problem, trust me.
