Disruptor and Orca Bomber. How to don't hate those ?
Subject description: SKIRMISH
So... I was happy like a visceroid during the october fest, building my base and harvesting when 3 Disruptors came to destroy my CY. I attacked them with tanks and built a Obelisk but nothing, they destroyed my CY and I had to waste money in rocketeers and luckily I had enough money to build an MCV but those GDI bastards came with they Orcas to bomb my war factory. Hurray... let's surrend
UNFAIR
GDI have the disruptor that is an unstopable unit, it can destroy everything easily whit his sonic cannon and neither walls, laser fences and THE FIRESTORM DEFENCE can stop it... and they have the Orca Bomber, capable of serious damages agaisnt the enemy and it's hard to destroy with less than 5 SAMs. Also it's better don't talk about the Mammoth Mark II -_-
What do have NODs ?
The stealth tank ? One of the most useless unit, it let you sneak till you reach the enemy CY then you order to shot and they burst under the fire of the RPG towers....
Same for flame tanks, sub APCs etc.
Maybe the only usefull unit is the Cyborg Reaper.

i agree in my mod im giving nod a nasty aa gun to
get ridd of the bombers (and new equaly nasty bomber) and a tank just

To be honest with you, I think that Juggernaut makes some good points. I Do believe that the game is unbalanced unit wise, but hey thats why we learn how to mod the game, right? QUICK_EDIT
Hmm...
1. Do you build 2-4 harvisters off the back?
2. If you cant handle advanced building technique then have a few sams dotted around your base(you dont need many for the AI...), and build tick tanks to kill the disrupters(it takes 2-3 per disruptor, not that many).
3. Do you have a few units gaurding the harvisters?(a few tick tanks or stealths will do.)
4. If im correct, if you attack an AI controlled vehicle with a unit, that unit will attack the attacker unless its already attacking something.

I think he more complains about the unbalanced AI TS has, where it sometimes attack at the beginning of the game with Disruptors and Bombers And if not, just build a crap load of defences and a small army to defend your base, works everytime for me (and yes, I'm a turtles too ) QUICK_EDIT
The AI is unbalanced, I'm building the temple of NOD and they come with advanced units i.e. disruptors and destroy my base :/. But I haven't this problems when the AI uses NODs because they usually use Banshees ( whic doesn't cause as much damage as teh orca ) tic tanks ( easy to destroy ) and artillery ( it's fun destroy them with infantry ).
GDI is overpowered. Play against a GDI AI is unfair. _________________ - Crap Forum Leader -

Do note: they may attack slower... I changed the rules.ini too so they get more money and attack sooner, but it includes some things I don't want to share, so you have to change them yourself
In that case stand up, I might be able to shell you from here if I can get some base-bleed 155mm rounds.

I changed the AI so they build according to their Tech level: they don't build Dizzies with just a WF It's still a WiP, but with the rules.ini changes I made it's a lot more fun (especially on AIlevel 2) QUICK_EDIT

Still, you dont wait until you can build obelisks to build defences, if you do that I could just send a few jumpjets and have an easy time killing your base, or I could send a few wolverenes, titans and disk throwers to take out your base becase you put all of your recources into base expansion and not unit creation. Play online once then complain about the AI... The second you build a war factory, build a few more harvisters and then pump out units for both antiinfantry and anti tank. jumpjets? 99% of the time their best purpose is just scouting..
What you send to an undefended base are five or more titans, strafe attack their critical structures before they can build stuff to counter.
As for counters for disruptors, I usually deploy tick tanks around my base, and rocket guys. Those will chew up flame tank rushes, disruptor rushes, and Mammoths. in fact, only a few deployed tick tanks are enough to totally annihilate the mammoths _________________ The Fall of Hammerfest - Epic Tiberian chain story

In a nutshell, the "turtling" he plays by is flawed. You can't even call it turtling anymore...

said its a pity the ai which originaly could win with out cheating
was cut due to the relese date (didnt have time to finish)
the get double money and tech when you cant.
eg that image i posted playing as gdi i found the nod players had at lest one advanced power plant and gdi had about 2 upgraded power plants and one normal
id have more respect for the ai if thay beat me hands down with out cheating

10-20 jumpjets are a real threat if you dont have a thing built to counter them. By the time you build aa i could of killed his power. Once he wastes his money on the maybe few rocket infantry and sam sites I just send in disk throwers...
About the ai... I like cheating AI, it gives a challenge but its still extremely easy compaired to real players.
