June + July announcements

So...with the announcement of the Generals expansion pack (see news) one would think this is was the july announcement, and that Lord of the Rings RTS would be the june announcement, right?

HOWEVER, according to Harvard Bonin, producer of Generals, they originally planned to announce this expansion pack in june, making of this the "June Announcement".. So there's still a July Announcement left!!

I want TT!!!

I seriously doubt the existance of TT. WW painted themselves into a corner with the ztyping up of TS' storyline (They establish a character in two games, then make him totally different?), so unless the Kane in TS was a cyborg, and the real Kane is still in hiding, they can't possibly make TT.

BTW, Kane never wanted to use Tiberium. He wanted to destroy it. He hates GDI because Mobius wants to use Tiberium.

He could just be damaged from the ion cannon blast destroying his temple in CnC1.

Yeah right he launches missiles that contaminate the entire earth and speaks of divination all the time... an then he wants to destroy tiberium?

or are you referring to CnC1? I don't really know the exact storyline of that one..

Yea, I'm referring to TD. In TS he wants to make everyone tiberium mutants. In TD he wants to destroy tiberium. A slight inconsistancy? That's why I said they painted themselves into a corner.

Also, don't you think anything else happened to Kane between the 1940s and 2000? He was one of Stalin's aids in Red Alert, so we know he's immortal (Noone could live that long and not age), so he can't die. But also, in the space of 40 years, something would have happened to him, but he doesn't have any metal plates on his head in TD.

oh, well i just thought the story was really consistant, as can be read in the CnC encyclopedia on PCNC... but i can't verify as i don't have CnC 1. (Shame on me!) It sounds weird to me though, why would he want to destroy it when it would have allowed his Brotherhood to rise (economically in the first place)

About the second point: he might be quite a strong guy actually. Somebody that's so strong an Ion Cannon only damages a bit of him..

That is true. However, someone who's over 90 years old and looks that young? In my mind, that makes him immortal. And immortal means he can't be killed. Except by someone ELSE who's immortal.

Also, in the movies of TD, Kane wants to destroy Tiberium because he forsees the death of the world at its hands (or, rather, roots). The only reason he resorts to terrorist tactics is because noone will listen to him over Mobius, and because he's prolly pissed at the Allies for destroying his plans in the first place.

That isn't to say he DOESN'T want to take over the world. He does. He just wants to fix it first Wink

Jezus, than most of the Encyclopedia is crap. Maybe i should post a thread on PCNC forum so we can see Cypher going crazy again (if you guys know him, he's kinda fanatic about CnC storyline)
