Rest in Peace, Savage War.
Subject description: We'll miss you!
After some months of inactivity, Clazzy has decided to close Savage War for once and for all. Savage War was a small, yet home of wonderfull mods such as Clazzy Rules, Novus Ordu and few others that might have never seen the light of the day. There were also TS: Savage War and RA2: Savage War which hosted some interesting mods and graphical resources.
If you visit Savage War now, you'll see the following message there:
Quote:
I've been in denial for the past few years and I think it's now finally time for me to accept it. Savage War needs to be retired off to a nursing home where it can spend the rest of its days remembering the bygone era it was a part of. I hope the fading away of one site is more the fault of me than a dwindling C&C community because, for all its faults and flaws, I still love C&C and all the people that bring it to life should be praised for doing so. Many of the people who passed through the doors of this site went on to grander things and are chriping away wherever they are creating some sort of modding gold for us all to play in a year or so. As for me, real life just managed to catch up and drag me away kicking and screaming while the joy I found in modding TS and RA2 ran away with the milkman.
Ah well, it was good while it lasted. Farewell everyone, I'll miss you all (even NF!)!
Clazzy
Savage War: September 2001 - May 2008 - it may be missed, possibly.
And we miss you too, Savage War. My best wishes goes for Clazzy, Rattus, NF and all those who once served Savage War. Let's hope that some of the resources they hosted can be transferred into other resource sites like this site and YR Argentina. QUICK_EDIT
Damn! That sucks!!! Hopefully we will still see Clazzy and Rattuskid rolling around... Though I don't think I have seen the likes of either of them for a wail now... QUICK_EDIT
Let's hope that some of the resources they hosted can be transferred into other resource sites like this site and YR Argentina
If anyone of the "Savage people" is interested in getting hosted:
I can provide "enough" webspace with PHP5 & MySQL, FTP, unlimited traffic and *.creativegaming.net domain. There are no conditions, it's not required that you link to creativegaming.net or similar. (Except: Our bandwith is limited to community projects, no porns or warez.)
Feel free to write a PM if interested.
creAtiveGaming.NET aims at preventing community knowledge and data to sink into oblivion, as we did with the RP1 Homepage or the HL1 Mod filebase. Also pd just got hosted with UT2004 maps.
Greetings

That sucks. Salvage War was a great bunch of (two) sites that I liked for the resources. I'll remember it, and I even got some of the modding resources of mine (Mainly VXLs) from there. If I ever make a resource site, Salvage War will be remembered. (Though I doubt I'll ever get the chance to make the resource site.) QUICK_EDIT
Il liked going there to get idea's for when my computer was fixed. New I have a comp, yet SW is gone. _________________ I am Zengar Zombolt, The Sword That Cleaves Evil! There is Nothing I can not Cut! QUICK_EDIT
