Need Help With Game.exe Modification
Ok, I need a game.exe for tiberian sun (& firestorm) v2.03 that is no cd patched, but also when you play the first gdi & nod missions in regular ts, the intro videos will work. I'm just asuming that it is the no cd patched part because they will play fine with the regular tfd ts installation. Also, all other video play fine including the fs one because i have added movies03.mix to the tfd version of ts.
The reason for this is because it is the last thing that i need before i can package the *final* version of my patch 1.03 for tfd. Any help would be apreciated.
PS: if their are any other fixes for ts, fs, ra2, or yr, could you let me know, so i can add them too. _________________ Webmaster & Creator of Command & Patch:

Why? I bought the friggin game I should be able to friggin use it without tieing down my DVD drive! Is that so utterly wrong? _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
Simply copy the Movies01.mix and Movies02.mix files (and in case you've have firestorm, also movies03.mix) from your TS discs into your TS folder. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
ALL modifications to TS are illegal if you read the end user agreement. _________________ Comcast: Yo dawg we herd yo were downloading, so we put fail in yo modem so yo cant download while yo failin! QUICK_EDIT

true... and this is just done as patch projet, not to encourage privacy. TFD's "security" is ridiculous anyway, it just adds a completely unnecessary check for a DVD it doesn't even use, and which can be replaced by a dummy image with Daemon tools in 5 seconds.

On that note, Hyper... do you know if the Action, Brief and Intro video tags in the mission files are actually read by TS? They don't seem to work... _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Yeah, The video files are there, i've checked, they play when the non patched exe is there, but when a patched one is put instead, they don't play (for some reason) _________________ Webmaster & Creator of Command & Patch:

Not quite

So... a NoCD stops Movies##.mix from being loaded? Odd...
It only stops the into videos for the first gdi and first nod mission in ts. They are "intr0.vqa" and "intr1.vqa". These are the only videos that won't play. _________________ Webmaster & Creator of Command & Patch:

OMFG
I just tried a no cd cracked version of a ts install from original discs (on another comp) and the videos played!!!!! Why is this!!!!!!!
When i put that same cracked game.exe into my tfd version of ts, the videos did not play, so maybe its not the exe _________________ Webmaster & Creator of Command & Patch:

TS uses Intro.vqa, where i think TFD has it edited to Intr0/1.vqa.

Please Help!!
If anyone can take the game.exe from the ts tfd installation, and crack it to make it no cd, then my patch 1.03 would be complete , and I'll post it. In case you don't have it, here's a link to it:

Guys, sorry to cut your fun here, but here's the deal:
-> Mods violate the EULA, but EA has no politics against them.
-> No CD crack on games that received no such feature from EA is a copyright violation. So, this case we are cutting, unless we are talking about real extreme cases that affects mods. This doesn't seems to be the case.
