ok in ra2 yr i have the apocalypse mod in it so to make new units i disabled that mod. which made my rules.ini into a .dat file, so the game wont exept it anymore, how do i change it back to a .ini file?

it doesnt work that way... ive tried it. its name is rulesmd
but then when you left click to see what it is it shows the .dat part.

eheh heh heh... sorry found an easy way to do this. open the .dat file with notepad then hit save as and then save as allfiles rulesmd.ini
so thanks anyway gufu.

YOUR DOING IT WRONG! Smile

Go to "Folder Options" or whatever its named in your country in the Controlpanel of Windows
(There is a shortcut to Folder options in the Tools menu in each window too)

Go to the second tab in that window and disable "hide file extensions for known filetypes" or whatever its called.

(Im using Windows XP, this is the same in Windows 95/98/ME/Vista and is enabled by default)
