At a tie so far... I tend to enjoy Tiberian Sun more for;
A. Campaign
B. Ease of modification
C. The presence of strategy (rushing with mass numbers of one unit doesn't work as well as you'd think, at least with most units; I think the Disruptor, Titan, and Orca Bomber are the only units that you can really spam with without being hit back)
though I do like RA2/YR more about;
A. Online play
B. Quality of modifications
So......... really close for me but I voted TS. _________________

Disagreed. The internals of TS/FS' INIs are less complicated (if even a bit) and it's just easier to figure out what's what and how to apply it. _________________

Both are equal for me.
TS has a nice atmosphere, cyborg units, Tiberium, but bad standard AI...
RA2 has crazy-ass units (which I like), good AI and humour. It is imbalanced when original.
Both games are fixed for my standards trough modding though QUICK_EDIT
Then your standards suck. Both TS and Ra2 have shite AI that just sits there.
TS has:
-Great atmosphere.
-Great campaign.
-Great terrain.
-Randomness. Ion Storms, Veinholes and terrain which slows units down different degrees etc.
-Non-lagging Cloaking.
-Quicker to mod.
-Better graphics.
-Temple of Nod.
-Good lighting.

RA universe is not epic enough. theres no aliens trying to harvest the earth, no kane, no biblical prophecies, no AI going wild, no mechs, no other-worldly atmosphere due to ion storms and tiberium, no mutants, no sexy EVA, not as decent BGM, not as serious, no POTENTIAL. while the tiberian universe can become everything. it could even spawn space-sims, and be more epic than WH40K. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. RA2's inis more or less have everything from TS. So in essence it is only different due to new stuff in there. Most of the tags are explained or self-explanatory after a little contemplation. QUICK_EDIT
It's gloomy, depressing, and slow. The units are unoriginal and don't really make any sense. The cutscenes are cheesier than RA2 - overdramatic, and not really well-made. The GDI cutscenes are just plain horrible - the NOD cutscenes are alright.
Overall, RA2 is a more polished game with a lot more possibility for replayability. So, that's what I'm siding with.
Though, I will say, Tiberian Sun did have a more "epic" feel, and is easily the more impressive of the two - it's just not as fun. QUICK_EDIT
One thing that puzzles me is why Tiberian Sun has Sun in the title when Red Alert 2 is clearly dominated by an all powerful sun that washes out all the colors ingame. When did I decide to go to the land of Rainbow Brite? That is the one thing in Red Alert 2 that is truly a deal-breaker for me . I also prefer the large battlefields in Tiberian Sun as opposed to the intimate ones in Red Alert 2. Red Alert 2 is more fun for a quick game as things happen so much faster. I also prefer the more epic storyline of TS. QUICK_EDIT
