Subject description: Modeling a landscape in TS - is that possible ?

Does anybody have an idea if it is possible to model a complete landscape
in TS ? Lets say I would like to add part of my home town with hills and valleys, bridges, forests and fields.
I don't know if TS offers the possibility to implement a defined landscape like that.
What do you think: is it possible and does it make sense ?
Thanks. Smile

Depends on what terrains are around your town etc... TS only has set types of terrain. In default TS cliffs are all 4 cells high, etc.

you could create your own terrain tiles, trees and buildings and this way make an almost 1:1 representation of your home town.

maybe you could even use satellite pictures of your area to make the terrain tiles as realistic as possible.

But the original TS terrain set has imo to few possibilities to create a recognizable reproduction of a real area.

1) get a hieght map of your town and make the approximate shape in the map maker., then add rivers.

2) get a road map of the town and add in all the road ways. Note that you can only have the roads going in so many directions

3) look at your town in google earth and fill in all the trees, builings, and etc.

4) plague your town with tiberium Wink
