It seems that the KW Worldbuilder is missing the ability to show all kinds of impossible areas. Has anyone found a solution for this yet? I've been mapping again recently and it's very irritating it doesn't work.

I haven't heard of any. My best suggestion is to keep the area that is supposed to be buildable as plain as possible.

In case you didn't understand what I meant with the first post: with impossible areas I mean all kind of overlays you can activate to help you with mapping. Overlays like: Impossible areas, Buildability, Tiberium Growability, etc. Aka all things from the paint textures menu excluding 'Texture' and 'Visibility'
As said above, this is with Tib Fields too, and that's the worst part... If you have a Tib Field close to a cliff, it's hard to make it so that the Tib crystals don't grow on the cliffs, or worse, on the top of the cliffs (which happens in some offficial KW maps, shame on you EA).

The only way to prevent that is making your map with the TW WB to make the terrain and then add the objects with KW WB.

Yeah, but it seems when I try to open a map made with the KW WB in the TW WB, it goes crazy and crashes...
Also, I like to edit the terrain and place objects at the same time, to see how it looks. With the methode you described that can't be done. Still thanks for the advice though Smile

You have to do it the other way around. Build it in TW first then KW. You can't open KW maps in TW and expect them to work.

I have noticed that already. And Stygs, is that true? If so, I have wasted hours re-creating a Generals map ;___;

Anyways, thanks for the comments. It seems this bug can't be fixed, and I know how a work-around now Wink
