Alright, I kinda stopped modding for a little bit and concentrating on other things, and meanwhile I started working on a couple designs for a RA2 (could be others, its just the design I picked) mod website. I pretty much finished the mockup of one and still working on a second design.

It is a great start, but it would be good to have some labels, so the viewer knows what their clicking on, something similar to tooltips.

that is great, though it is still a bit pixely, especially on the round parts of the sidemenu.

but i really like this. i always wanted an own homepage in this way for all my SHP/VXL downloads.
Maybe you can create a template which you make public here. So those who are interested (like me) can use this and create their own C&C site. e.g. I would use a TD style and the ingame clock anim on the sidemenu for the download progress. So the first click on the icon would start showing ingame screenshots on the big main field and a second click on the icon would start the download.

I updated the first post with another mockup, suggested by a family member.

I could definitely upload a template, you'd need Flash to use it (obviously), but I'm not sure about going about making the download progress bar (haven't quite delved that far into it). I'll figure something out, also have to check out a second click feature, may just have to have it play screenshots when you hover over it if thats ok. But like I said, I'll check right into it all.

Also, I'll see what I can do about the graphics.

I really like where it's going. Definitely got some potential.

I suggest you make it to where it's constrained to the size. 800x600 or 1024x768 (I can't tell what it's original is)

Alright, upon further inspection, I see that imageshack is annihilating them, so I'll upload them to my own website soon. That way it'll be in its full glory #Tongue

Originals are not quite 800x600 (about 812x608), but same ratio.
