I Would recommend either DarkRose's or Joshy's Help. #Tongue Also, there something that bothers me about the water in the newest picture, It doesn't really look like water, but very thin wood. Confused

you should swap the pavement and water color. If you make pavement blue it would look great as water due to the brighter edges. And the water grey because of the wooden texture. Razz

Hint: the streets should get 2 parallel brighter stripes of grey, reflecting the lane on which the cars drive all the time. Maybe you should also make the street only 2 cells wide and another 3 cell wide street with 3 lanes.

The cliffs look abit washed out, they could have higher contrast.

Yeah, looks like you just used sepia toning or something, I'd say definitely up the contrast

I Think the cliffs look alright actually. There's the odd cliff that looks much brighter than the others, otherwise they're alright in my opinion.

too desertlike. I don't like it at all. It's a start though, props for that.

Don't get me wrong. They are nicely made.
I just don't like them personally.

Not much new here, but I thought I should just post something.

I have allmost replaced everything that needs to be replaced within the isotem.mix of TS. I only need to do the bridges and tunnels (+ some minor other stuff) and im done.
I still havent touched the FS part, but I'll get to it... Shouldn't take too much time.

I could still use some help btw.

And no I haven't decided on which mod this goes to.

Alrighty mayteh

Umm. . . ill fix a few errors on those cliffs lmao i always notice even the smallest errors in my work and also when i get bk from holiday aswell as finish the water cliffs

I was thinking the bridge piece how bouts making it more like dusty at the bottom like dab a bit of the sandy stuff on it so it blends a bit more.

\/ \/ Kinda like that \/ \/
A quick example i know (its bloody 2:44AM lmao) but atleast it shows you what i mean.

It's nice, it actually reminds me of the desert maps in Generals/Zero Hour, though I did slightly prefer the cliffs that were less dark, they work well like this too. May just be the hue though, they would look great with a colour/brightness more alike to the terrain. Speaking of nice trees, maybe you could actually convert some from Generals/Zero Hour, from a distance and the right perspective they might fit in quite well.

Yes, everything looks pretty, but I'm worrying about the pavement. You should make the transition between the dirt and the pavement smoother, so that it looks like the dirt has actually spread on the pavement via winds & such; NOT that the pavement has been built on the dirt.

Everything except the "new" cliffs is actually new...I can understand DarkRose maybe not having the skill to make brand new cliffs, but don't you?

Over the years a lot of things have been recolored. Infantry, Buildings, animations, and now finally, terrain. Long story short, recolors are lame.

I agree with that. Recoloured cliffs aren't great. Plus there are lots of little problems, which is inevitable with recoloured terrain. A better option is to make new cliffs in 3D.

The edged of the cement suck, they're too bright and too soft.
The water sucks, it's too noisy; it doesn't look like water.
The roads suck too, they are too vaguely worn, not at all realistically. They should have a lower contrast, but more stuff like cracks and dirt/sand spread on them, as well as lighter trails where cars drive.
Also, the dirt road over cement shouldn't just be the dirt road over cement, it should be sand strewn across the road in the direction of the vehicles, meaning there should be relatively obvious trails straight across as well as turning onto the paved road.\

This is a great idea and I really want to see you improve it, I don't mean to discourage you, just tell you where you can improve.

The roads were my creation. I just based them off the pavement texture, I can try to wear them down a bit though.
