I've got some questions about the Random Map Generator, or RMG for short.
Is it possible to let the RMG use more things when creating a map, like the BIGBLUE for blue Tiberium fields, or mutants in Tib Fields when selecting Lifeforms.
Also, is it true that the day/dusk/morning/night.ini control the darkness/lightness of the map at the selected day time and ion.ini the colour of the Ion Storms when selecting them?

INIs control what triggers to add to the RMG maps that have certain times or ion storms enabled.

You cant add new overlays, terrain or objects unless you write new code in the RMG engine.

Alternatively, create a random map, and add it yourself...

But where is that RMG code? I can't find anything related to the RMG in the TS folder, nor on the TS/FS disks. I know it requires exe hacking again, but this is something I want to fix badly, because I use it a lot of times. Even the best maps get boring after some time #Tongue

I R RMG expert. Smile
The daytime does control the map's lighting, that's its only purpose.

And as Hyper said, if you want to make it place something new, you'll need to change its code,
and there I have to warn you: the RMG code is nuts. Wink Expectable, though.

Why can't they make something easy for a change #Tongue
Well, there goes another modding idea of me... Unless I'll try some hacking...

IIRC an unpatched original V1 TS exe produces .map files which you can open for editing in FinalSun.

Yeah, I can remember reading somewhere that this was disabled in one of the patches.

ETS re-enabled that if you want to dump Firestorm maps out
