Juggernaut

I can't neither change my desktop, the was also a pop up asking me to install some software " antyspyware xp 2008 only $ 79.99 " but ofcourse I refused. I've found the infected files, I've deleted it but nothing changes... I've restored them to scan them with zone alarm but it found nothing... oh no wait it found a super dangerous tracking cookie ( woooow 50 € wasted on a shitty antivirus )

I tried googling but most of the time I found wrote things like " men you have to buy the software also format "

HJave you already encountered something like that ? Help pls !

I got that a while back. It's a bugger to get rid of.

What I did, was go out and buy a new antivirus program, and then do a factory reset. Install the new virus program and you should be good.

Factory reset is key.

I read about that thing some time ago. You must turn off the internet before you refuse/agree (Opera helps a lot, since it can turn off the scripts, just as they are activated).

I lol'd. That barely looks like a legitimate Windows Warning window. If it is legit, then I lol'd harder because Virtumonde is VERY annoying.

In order to get rid of virtumonde you need to download This Tool put your cable modem or equivalent into standby mode and run it then it will scan and if it finds it it will prompt you to restart. Also download AVG 8 free edition and Spybot Search and Destroy along with Ad-Aware 08

Anyway for those who haven't understood it the pop up on the screen is fake ! The virus changed my desktop in that and puy on a screensaver where horrible bug ate everything on the desktop. Also I can't change them because the " Desktop " button is disappeared from the propriety menù. Zone Alarm find nothing also Spybot search and destroy. I've downloaded XoftSpySE and it found the virus but when I pressed the " Fix " button it asked me to register the program " only £ 39.99 ". Same for spyware doctor but a friend of me should pm me a valid serial today or tomorrow. If anyone have a valid suggestion please post it !

So I wiped out the hardrive and recovered my lost files from the bios.
