If they get rid of of the generals build sytem, I'd be happy. I wonder though, if it will just be another modern warfare game. Theycould go 5 years into the future, like having Russia, the US, the European Union, China, and then the future GLA? Based around the current Georgia conflict? Or perhaps they'll go a historical route: a cold war game would probably be too red alert to do, so that crosses out Vietnam and Korea (for US wars). They could go back to world war 2, but meh.
World war 1 has potential, you may say "but trench warfare is boring!". The average battle for the real life equiviant of cnc3 or ra would take how long? And they manage to get a game in in 5 minutes. They could shorten trench warfare to 15-20 minutes. Plus it could have alot of gameplay fun. Imagine you and your enemy racing to finish the seige work as they spread across your base. You tech up and try to use artillery to pound your enemy. However, he sends in zeppelins to counter. You send in your biplanes, but by the time they finish off the zeppelins, he has finally gotten tanks to launch into your trenches. Theres alot of possibilities in this time period. Flamethrowers, balloons, eraly tanks and airplanes, naval warfare. Plus imagine the fun of nat having to deal with axis verse allies! _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. Anyways, in case you didn't know DaFool, Generals started around 2020 IIRC... I do hope they keep the 3 armies and don't add a 4th one... There ain't much options besides Europe, which would be a USA-like army QUICK_EDIT

Anyways, where does it say Generals 1 took place in the 2020s? All I remember seeing is "the modern world".
Generals doesn't really limit itself to where or when it can take palce. The first one really didn't develop any characters, or create any kind of lasting stroy line. All you know is the GLA hates everyone-fight.
World War 2, even though its been done oh s many times, has potential because of the large number of unit types there were. World War 1 has potential because 1) it's never been done as an rts before and 2) it pretty much has everything ww2 has except what? nukes? ww1 would be a new pace for rts, one where you actually have to think rather than just click faster. Spamming units? opps that machine gun mowed them down. Should have used an artillery to open. Plus theres a huge story and campagin. The Germany vs france, austria and russsia. Russia vs Russia. The americans come, The ottomans. Not only that, but the whole thing was supposedly STARTED BY THE BLACK HAND! Other than that, no.
Still, Project64 has full mouse support. With my configuration it plays just like the PC version. I even linked the mouse scrollwheel to zooming in and out

You can build the Jeremy-James-and-Richard-in-a-minivan that in turn can build the Stig.
The Stig can steal any car, tank, or even airplanes or boats with his rocket boots, and he can 'drive' enemy infantry around by climbing on their shoulders, and he can even enter enemy buildings and drive away with them.
The only downside is that Jeremy costs humongous amounts of money to keep in the game. QUICK_EDIT

They can make Generals2. Generals1 was a decent game, but except you had troops to command and enemy bases to conquer, it was not that much of a "real" C&C.(define "C&C": either war for tiberium, or the RA universe)
I don't like the idea of "C&C Generals 2", but I like the idea of "Generals 2".
