Very quick community news roundup!
Subject description: Covering 11-19/09/2008.
Hello everyone! With EA and its Red Alert 3 news spree, it was hard to catch non-RA3 unit profiles or remix trailers or whatever news the community has posted. I guess this is a period that everybody is busy, just like me. I'm busy between my university (as usual), next job and buying clothes for the job. I used formal clothes less than 10 times in a year, but now I'll have to use it nearly every day, so I had a buy a lot of things.
Anyway, first of all, a quick apologize for the good people over CNCNZ.com. They'll have a fan edition of the Roundtable Discussion later in this month, and they were looking for fans to answer to it. EA APOC loves reading these things and he really pays much more attention to it than things like KW mod SDK campaign. Anyway, now it is too late to sign up, since Sonic has already choosen the fans and you'll only know them by the end of the month, when the roundtable is posted.
So, other than that, we only have some quick modding news to post:
-> CnC Labs has announced [b]The Red Alert. It's the second mod that I've heard of for Red Alert 3. It should bring the art and gameplay you see in the first Red Alert game to this one, including the aftermath units. Is it possible to make a chrono game on it? Perharps...
-> C&C3 Fallout has some ingame screenshots. What would happen, if in 1988, Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev was assassinated? This total conversion comes to provide an answer to this question, bringing the USSR, NATO (USA + Europe) and... Australia (Why?) to the same battlefield. Although the mod is set on 1988, you may find some high tech units such as the mech below:
-> YR Generals's screenshots were recently posted by its author known as Fenring, Beowulf, Doctor Destiny (you can choose, since he used every single alias in the world already). And you can see these screenshots HERE. The mod itself isn't that creative, but it should be fun. Fenring is creating some generals for Allies and Soviets. Here's a quick screenshot:
And there are more stuff that should be posted later, once I return from my uni and buy more clothes, including the release of a new version for Mental Omega. Last edited by Banshee on Fri Sep 19, 2008 5:35 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
