Today I discovered my first personal restriction while modding... sort of.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF stupid shit Anim8tor I don't get this 3d stuff... Mad Mad #Cussing out

I seem to be unable to work clearly on graphics without really seeing what I do... I'd rather MS Paint infantries than to make 3d models... :/

Now it's your turn guys, let all those frustrations and anger go... Razz

Rawr... RA2's engine blows. Confused

Other than that, no trouble.

Getting good looking maps required doing a lot of things manually (Slopes, Shores) and it is VERY time consuming (Though to be fair the results do pay off in the end). I Have trouble with normals and Tiberian Suns engine is useless. Neutral

I've just mastered normals recently which was somthing I thought impossible. Memorizing TS 35 normals colors isn't so hard at all. #Tongue Other than that, my current point of struggle is on 3D animation and Skin design. Razz

Also, TS and RA2 engines really suck hard (damn you palettes!! and other limits), but at least very fun to play around with. Very Happy

I hate time restraints. I can mod fine, other than the restrictions which come with the TS engine, but getting the time to do things properly is awfully difficult.
Also, I hate the general SHP format.

I make excellent 3D models when I give myself time but I always end up rushing myself.

Everytime i try to make smoke with particle systems, the clouds look like bubbles.
And if i raise the amount of particles and make them smaller so they don't look like bubbles, my PC is to slow to render the thousands of particles
(even my new quad core pc with 4GB ram is too slow) #Mad

Modding TW XML is sometimes so frustrating, because EA has split up everything, and it's very hard to find where object x or anim y is Mad

Restrictions:

1.RA2 SHP engine sucks.I'd ask somebody about doing this for me,tought I don't have the man that can help me...
2.It doesn't manage to motivate me enought to continue work on it.

Makes me laugh how so many people moan about the engine, yet the moaning only started after pd and DCoder started posting about the findings they had, strange...

Anyhow, only problem i have is that i HAVE to work on more than 3 things at once, or i get bored. This makes me very busy and frustrated though >_>

I can't draw for shit and 3d model makers confuse the shit out of me. Along with fact my comp is a 7 year old pos with relatively new gfx card and 1.5 gigs ram. now if you excuse me I have a shotgun and plenty of ammo to vent my frustrations.

*off to the distance while loading a 12 Gauge Automatic Shotgun* Hey Gufu! want to go hunting?

While I certainly do, my good sir - the hunting season close by has been opened - and other humans have been known to "misfire".

GigaByte NX96T1GHP (1GB ram 9600GT). It isn't the fastest available card but a passiv one which makes my complete PC almost noiseless. Wink

I can't concentrate on one thing long enough to finish it. I usually want to do another project half way through. Like now I am doing a civ mod for yr, but now i want to splice supcom and a cc game. oh the frustration.

My restrictions in modding:

Lack of motivation is most likely my biggest problem.

I mean I get started with a mod, then I just fizzle out on motivation almost within a hour.

Second biggest, is a creativity blockage.

Third biggest, need moar ramen.

If you have a lot ideas but you can't work it out, then why don't explain your ideas to the ones who don't have much creativety?
I always do that Smile

Naval voxels are greatly time consuming, when you get to voxels so big things start to get frustrating. Can't get the hang of 3d either.
