What is it?

AlertSun is the second episode of AlertX Sagas, the campaign sagas for the conversion YR Argentina. It consists of 7 detailed and challegning allied mission maps, in which you also get to play with three other armies, due to the mission backgrounds.


Where is the storyline?

The sagas follow YR Argentina´s storyline, however, as Episode I was released in February 2002, its worth to retake the point where the past serie left. In AlertDawn, the main objective was to prevent Yuri from being liberated, or his army to be stronger, by blocking their attempts to steal the so called Converter Trucks. Now, your objective is to erradicate Yuri´s Army from Earth forever, as a new leader arises for the enemy.


Where do missions develop?

You will pass through various locations, from Godthab in Greenland to Madevan in Iran, passing through realistic maps of what a place is like (The Buenos Aires map, is as accurate as possible to reality)


I heard this is a mod campaign, what new units are there?

Actually, the new units are not given through all the campaign, but the player receives different units on each map. Some of the new units are the Argentinian MBT, the Argentininan Gendarme, the Allied Destroyer (RA1), the Soviet Leviathan Cruiser, and the Allied Artillery.


So, what does this campaign feature after all?

This campaign features:
+ 7 extremely challegning and detailed mission maps
+ Over 20-40 hours of assured gameplay, depending on your skills
+ 3 different difficulty levels (which actually means there are 21 maps instead of 7, as each of the 7 is played different depending on difficulty level)
+ Over 15 new units through out all the campaign
+ User impersonation, as it happened in Tiberian Sun, user gets to control his own character (User is a unit in the game)
+ Introduction to the variations in YR Argentina, working like some kind of demo in some maps.
+ New Loading screens from the hand of Blade´s templates
+ Some of the maps represent real world locations (Actually they all do, but only some are accurate on how the place looks)
+ Use of four different armies (all but civilian) for mission completion.
+ Ingame scenes and representations, invasions, or movie-like events.
