So Im trying to get XCC mixer to convert a sequence of pcx images I have of an infantry unit into an shp but it keeps saying the filenames are incorrect... BUT the filenames are correct, in sequence starting at Image0000.pcx and going up to Image0228.pcx, anybody out there that can help me? I think Im doing everything right!
BTW it will do the first one but not any that arnt 0000 (like 0001)

Maybe there has to be a space between the file name and the number. Sounds random and might not be true... I dont think ive ever converted something which hasnt had separate numbers though.

Thats not it, or it wouldnt have converted the first one, also I just tested it, still gives me a bad filename error (image #### where #### is zero value)

No, it would convert the first one because thats simply its name but if it has a space then its obviously a separate number. #Tongue Just try it... batch rename with Infranview.

Why don't you use the SHP Builder's conversion?
It works fine for me...

1) copy them to folder with XCC
2) use SHP Builder (convert pcx)

XCC Mixer has a few preferences that, if followed, will allow you to do w/e you want.

1) All sequences must start from 0000 and there can not be any missing frames in between. (If there are it may still work, just inputting a blank frame.)

2) There should be a space between the sequence and the filenames. eg. filename 0000.pcx ~ 0045.pcx

Well I dont know why XCC wouldnt work but I got SHP builder to do it finally by reextracting all the frames, I guess my files extracted with errors before, anyway, after some work Ill release the infantry in the SHP media hut, thanks for the help but I really cant figure out what the problem was, anyway I worked around it.
