Happy 2009! PPM Goes Mobile and it has a new Video Channel!
Subject description: Time for new reach horizons!
Happy 2009 everyone! Last year was good, but very hectic for me. And this one still starts quite hectic, because I've done what I could to place a mobile version of PPM online and... so far, we can call it early public beta.
The advantages of the mobile site is that it consumes less bandwidth, there is no ajax or anything complex for your mobile browser, pictures won't be bigger than the size of the screen, there won't be any advertisement and no Revora network bar either, although I'm not sure if the lack of network bar is an advantage or disadvantage.
In the next days, I'll be fully synchronizing the sections from both main and mobile versions of PPM. Also, a screenshot is comming soon. I just haven't finished the job now because I'm definitelly looking like a zombie (it's almost 8:00 am here and I haven't slept yet).
And finally, if a mobile work in progress version of the site isn't enough, we have a Youtube Video Channel as well. Check it out at:

At the moment, I haven't published any video of my own. I'm just collecting videos. Also, it features a PPM Playlist with musics from Tiberian Odyssey and Twisted Insurrection. It should work well as a radio.

The site looks quite alright, but the menu seems a bit...I won't say plain but perhaps maybe put the words closer to each other a bit. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

Nice work on making the mobile version of the site Banshee! Keep up the awesomeness. This will indeed make browsing the site easier on my PSP. Although I usually just go straight to the forums anyways and have it bookmarked on my PSP. _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)

Yea, and I was still awake 7:30 am... so that's why I messed things up . I've fixed the news now .

The idea was to make it plain and quick. But I've noticed that I'll need to put the menu categories there as well . I'll get it done once I synchronize its menu with the one from the main site. QUICK_EDIT
Cool idea Bansh'. One thing though, the images do automatically size to the size of the viewport - however if you view it on a higher resolution it will actually stretch them to fit meaning they end up looking pretty arsey.
The flipside of that is that since it's designed for *mobile* viewing, and since mobile devices are small, there's no problem - as long as you're actually viewing on a mobile device. Dunno if it's worth fixing or not to you but might be easy if you just specify maximum dimensions.

The idea is that ppmsite.mobi should be only browsed on mobiles or devices with small screen resolutions. At the moment, I'm forcing every image (except for the DOT.GIF) and object to have width 100%. In a later time, I may redo this thing to prevent smaller pictures from stretching to fi the screen. The paypal picture being stretched looks ugly, even in the mobile . QUICK_EDIT
i only get white background on n73...
i test it on my n81 and it works... and also some are pixel ed...
and also... the front page it too long hehe... i think maybe lessen like 3 news or 5?... it takes time to load for non wlan phones... _________________
