Train Track Cameos

I made Train Tracks buildable and made cameos for them as you otherwise can't see in which direction the track goes. Contains 12 cameos.
They are not very good but as I made them I thought I'd post them...

Example:

(I actually got the traintracks to work, but not the slopes. Making a track without slopes is not very useful as the track has to stay on the same level all the time Rolling Eyes

You should really of used the blank TS Icon backgrounds to create these. Most people don't use new backgrounds in their custom mods from what I've seen.

Well, perhaps I should have, but I doubt any serious mod is ever going to use them... until someone findes out how to make track slopes buildable, the whole idea of building tracks seems kind of pointless.

Have you played with the ToTile= tag for the slopes? I can't remember if that calls any terrain type or just LAT

The slopes appear as terrain type, don't they, so that'd alter the coding, wouldn't it?

ToTile=tslope01 allowed me to place monorail slopes with no problems Smile

I guess this means tracks and trains are fully buildable (albeit still impractical in a real game though)

But can they be built on slopes? I mean, all the other buildings don't build on slopes. Not being a very good ini modder I haven't the foggiest clue.

(Shouldn't this portion of the subject be amputated, and the transplanted into another forum?)

I guess PlaceAnywhere=yes would do the trick, wouldn't it ?
Anyway, I think I will make new cameos with the standard TS Icons then, and as well for the slopes.

there's still the possibility to let the game do this in special maps via lots of trigger.

It would surely look cool if there is a destroyed monorail and after you've send an engineer into one civil building, the civilians start to rebuild the tracks.

In SP-Missions would this be a really cool feature, to let some reinforcements enter the map after the player has repaired the tracks.

I tried it now with PlaceAnywhere=yes, but it did not work. The track slopes can be built but not on the slopes >.<
So slopes are still not available for train tracks...
