without being harsh, but it looks like blind people lead a blind here.

Instead of saying "it's good" and "i like it" you should say the truth, that it's not good and give some constructive criticism. And don't tell me you can judge from that picture having the unit only from one angle if it's good at all.

So please guys before giving a comment which looks more like you use an automatic reply system of your browser, spend some more time with judging.

you still have to practise a bit noki
-normals need more work
-textures should be better and don't have that small details which make them pixely and flicker ingame
-the size is inappropriate small for RA2 (without having tested it ingame, but outgoing from the voxel header, i assume you also get the black holes syndrom)
take a look on original units and their size. This one would be even quite small in TS
-it's hard to make out the turret and its direction on the tank (a better texture with more contrast to the tanks texture would be nice here)

always upload an ingame pic showing the unit from every of the main 8 facings

Well Lin Kuei Ominae you might have to remember that allot of the members here are really young. So they are not interested in or capable of high end work.

i fully understand that and am happy that there are still new modders for such old games, but ignoring problems doesn't helps either and would only reduce the general quality of the forum and the published work.

Even if it can't be achieved, should perfection always be the highest goal. Very Happy

I don't agree with perfection... Were not being paid for this, this is only for fun and should only be left at fun. There is no need to make a hobby some thing serious and annoying.

It looks like an edit from the grizzly itself. so i think the size is fine. What it with everyone and "its small" syndrome?

I checked both of them in VXLSE, and I was right, it is a simple edit on the Grizzly, and the bounds are exact: 30, 12, 41. I also made sure that all layers were used, and this was also found to be true. Many people on PPM needs there eyes checked.

It does need to be auto-normaled though. It is a good start and I hope to see more soon, noki.

And no, fun is the goal, not perfection. Art for art's sake is an empty frame. Well put MadHQ.

Uhh, well some people find the search for perfection fun and a hobby too... if you really enjoy something, surely you want to really reach your goals as best you can and make it perfect for yourself.

He has a point. I've edited some of my oldest posts for the sake of proper grammar and spelling months after the topic left the first page..... Because of my moderating powers in the TO fora I have already fixed a bunch of mistakes, but I'm just pedantic.

As for this edit as itself, starting to voxel by editing existing an voxel is a good start, helping you to learn the interface and such, but everyone must learn to surpass such after a short while.
