1. You open a .big file.
2. You select the file you want to extract.
3. You click Edit -> Extract.

That's all. In C&C 3, the .big's are compiled though and I don't think you can open them then.

Dont worry, its Syp46.
You could give him a video tutorial and he would complain that he dont know how to use it. Confused

all right i got the art and data extraced, the files that were called W3DZH and W3DEnglishZH.

so now i need a 3D importer for 3Dmax right?

is there one that would work better than any other ones? or is there just one?

if there is more than one, could some one give me the name of it so i can download it from some where instead of finding 50 and not knowing what one to get.

Honestly, I don't think you need to upload them at all. Extracting the files is a very easy task and most of these .BIG files are really big. Practice makes perfect. The tool works in a similar way than other zip related tools.

fair enough, thou i do have one more question.

are there any things that you would recomend i look out for when i try and import the units and buildings into TW, i was told that i would have to change the format into what ever TW runs its models on, *cant remember the format name* and that i would have to animate them, do you have any tricks up your sleave that might make this a faster process?

im actually a student in 3D animation and game design, and im only now getting into the 3D aspects of things so i am learning this, thou its a step by step thing.
