Nah you're not a noob. Perhaps you're just impatient, or worse...

So, first of all, I haven't tried out this mod yet, just keep that in mind, if you can. First point 5 of all, read the Read Me file, if there is one; again, I don't know. Second of all... it should just be that you extract all of the mod files into your TS directory (which is usually C:\Westwood\SUN).

With the way the mod's set up, you may or may not have to back up any original TS files. I think the mod uses it's own system, so I guess, if you want (as you can always just reinstall the game if you want to revert back to normal TS) you can back up that file, which you already did! You're getting there, lassy.

So good luck.

Ah, you're saying the tibsun.mix Bittah Commander uploaded is corrupt? I guess that's possible.

I just tried to get this mod working WITHOUT any Tiberian Sun & Firestorm games installed, try to get it working standalone style - I got a DLL error. I re downloaded from different links and all that crap, same error every time the game starts.

So... I guess I'm missing (you almost guessed it!) - a DLL file.

You should just reinstall your TS/FS. If you had that game in the first place, why bother getting that tibsun.mix file? I'm pretty sure that's an optional file.

Just copy your TS folder, rename it Dawn of the Tiberium Age, extract DTA 1.09 files in there and play using the DTA executable.

That file was included so DTA could run stand alone, just drop ALL the DTA files into an EMPTY folder with the "DTA tibsun.mix" included....
