If you make new XML Schema Documents (XSD files) where do you need to place them.
Do you need to let them at the 'ModsSDK/Schemas/XSD' folder or place them in you mods folder?

You have to put new/modified schemas in the same folder as the existing ones. Keep in mind though that the schemas only define what the compiler can handle, not what the game can actually process!

You can edit some of the lists and there are AFAIK a couple of modules that are deactivated for the compiler but the game can still process them - please just don't ask me which ones. #Tongue

You can definitely add new damage types to the existing list. So far I haven't heard of any problems with this.
Adding new KindOfs is technically possible, but will screw up the existing ones. I highly recommend not doing so.
